Tracy Arm has too much ice so no go there. (Not a surprise.)

Endicott Arm had a landslide and it's been very foggy today. First cruise into Endicott called off their sailing. We are unsure if we will make it either. All small boat excursions cancelled.

Crew is updating regularly and plans to add additional activities.

Personally, I'm really enjoy the classic ship. I wasn't sure but it is a lovely experience so far.

I hope you are able to sail into Endicott Arm. It is beautiful! We were there May 23rd.
I love the classic ships (shhhhh). Makes me feel like I am on the Queen Mary (of olden days).

Who are your servers? Head waiter?

Loving forward to your trip report.

Kate

Our server waited on us this morning at character breakfast. He sailed on the Magic in her inaugural year and has been with DCL ever since only on the classics. He says he's not seen this happen in Alaska before. Either way, we are having an amazing time.

Hopefully the Ice will have cleared somewhat by the end of July. I think we are scheduled there on the July 30 or 31.

Who is your server? Have you seen Frozen yet? I hope you get to see Tracy Arm, supposed to be fantastic but sounds like you guys are having a great time, I love the Wonder!

We were on the Wonder just two weeks ago and went all the way into Endicott...saw lots of seals on ice flows along the way in and a calving, too, at the glacier. Be sure to attend the Naturalist talks...lots of info and history. Tiana's is lots of fun, but the gater is very illusive, always moving and hard to photograph. Animators Palate had half their screens broken for the placemat animation show. Hope you are sitting on the right side, as we did, where they work. Yikes!
Big hope that the weather cooperates for you folks as it did for us. We had some drizzle at the glacier, no rain in Skagway, sun in Juneau, morning mist but pm sun in Ketchikan, then sun and 75+ on deck for last "at sea" day. Hope you have sunscreen. Cheers!

We made it to Tracy Arm but the glacier has receded so much. Still an amazing day though. I'll upload photos either when I have cell service or when we get back.
Receded so much since...? When were you last there? Thanks for reporting!

I've never been before but based on photos and crew & naturalist reports, it's a dramatic change since two years ago when they were there last.

Is Spiderman listed on your navigator for later this week when it releases?

Someone on a Facebook Alaska group I'm on posted some photos from yesterday's sailing and it's practically unrecognizable. There's like...no ice. And practically no glacier. It's super odd looking. It's making me wonder about all the "too much ice in Tracy Arm" stuff. Now I wonder what's up with Endicott. I read "landslide." Trying to suss that one out.

Here's the photo someone posted on another group I'm on of Tracy Arm yesterday. That's the glacier way back there.

How close is that compared to where the ship usually gets? Especially in Alaska perspective can make a lot of difference.

(And what is a "before" picture from the same position? Hard to compare without those facts...)
