We live out in the country but in a fairly conspicuous spot at the intersection of two fairly busy roads (one's a state route). A couple of years ago, we built a somewhat striking garage. The house and garage are both white with green rooves, about the same size (I know
) and sit at a 90 degree angle to each other. To top it off, we have a circular drive, so its easy to stop. I don't know how many people have stopped to look at the garage. Especially when it was newer, because its really just a pole barn and people want to know how it turned out inside, too, and what it cost. These ARE strangers, mind you, but its a rapidly growing area with a bunch of people building, so I really don't mind. And they take pictures, some along with asking questions, some just pause on the road and snap.
But today someone pulled in, took a picture of the garage AND the house, and the kids were playing outside. They came in to tell, but of course know nothing about the car. They are pretty sure they were in one picture but not the other. Which makes me feel a little better, they weren't taking the house picture because they missed a kid. Still, its freaking me out. I guess because usually if people actually pull in the drive, they usually ask first about a picture, and no one takes pictures of the house. I'm not sure they will be playing outside for a couple days. I hope it rains or something.
(disclaimer: the garage isn't that great, but it is different and looks affordable)
