We are sailing for the first time on the Sept. 21 Magic. We still have a few questions as we are winding down our preparations.

1) Can I bring my own hairdryer? I know there are ones in the room but have heard they are not good at all. Also will they plug in? It has the big plug in. My dh and I battled this out yesterday.

2) Can I bring my own water bottle on board, like a rubbermaid one or something. I drink mostly water all day long and need to know.

3) Is it worth it to buy the mug on the 7 day? My dh is still debating. We do not drink beer, wine or, mixed drinks.

4) We are sailing with my inlaws for their anniversary. We told our TA this when we booked. Do we need to tell them again at port for possible upgrades or anything?

If I think of more I will post again. anything will help. Thanks!

We can't wait!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I'll be happy to help. :)

1) Yes, you can bring your own hair dryer and you plug it in at the plug at the desk. There is no outlet in the bathroom for hair dryers.

2) Yep, you can bring your own water bottle as well.

3) If you drink more than $5 worth of soda a day the mug is worth it. If not, then it is not.

4) You can certainly have the anniversary noted on the reservation and the servers will bring a small cake at dinner one night and sing "Happy Anniversary" to your in-laws. The anniversary will not have any affect at all on upgrades, though, tons of people celebrate birthdays and anniversaries on each cruise.

Enjoy! :)

Although you can bring water onboard, I don't think you really need to. Water is heavy and the drinking water onboard is actually quite good... much better than Florida water.

This will be my first cruise ever, my DH second cruise, and our first Disney cruise together. We'll be on the same cruise as you. How much do you want to bet that we'll all over-pack!

Only 18 more days! Yippeeeeee!!!!:jester:

We have been looking forward to this for months. I am starting to pack now as to not have to rush. I am trying not to overpack but somehow I always do. We are driving to Cocoa Beach on the 20th and then to Port Canaveral on sat morning. My husband wants to be there early. We also have to watch how we pack as we are cruising with his parents. As of right now we are going down in a Cadillac but would rather go in their van. I don't see us getting four suitcases in their trunk. They somehow think we can!
Maybe we can find each other during those seven days!

Happy packing!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

We bought one mug last year and shared it. We thought it was a good deal plus a nice souvineir.

We sail the week before you. We will try to leave a little of the pixie dust laying around for you and your family.

Watch my timer count down.

Russ

I'm just trying to occupy my time till the 20th. I am all caught up at work, and have been sitting around twiddling my thumbs for weeks. We are flying into Tampa on the 20th, and spending the night in Tampa, then driving to the port. After...but who wants to think about that!?!?! I'm just hoping that, even though we booked through DVC and made hotel reservations ourselves at WDW, we get upgraded!!;) Really though, I'm just happy to be going!!!!

Oh wow! We'll be on the same cruise. We were going to drive but we got a great deal on Orbitz for $100.46 round trip non stop from Columbus. Flying in the day before then staying a week in Kissimmee. We have relatives in FL and always stay a few extra days to visit - plus gotta' go to WDW!!! Our first Disney cruise and looking forward to a great time.

hi there!
we'll be on the sept 21st disney magic also!!!

see ya there! do you guys where lime green ribbons on the cruises also???

Laura:D

I will see you there also :) Watch for a lime green ribbon on my backpack!!

We'll be on the Sept 21 cruise also. We're coming in from Dayton, OH on the 20th and staying at the Hyatt Airport the night before.
Hope to meet some of you!

Gary and Connie

Trying not to be TOO jealous as this is the cruise we were supposed to be on. Not sad at all for the reason we had to cancel ("guess what, honey - we're pregnant") but am a little sad that we won't be on that wonderful ship. A week in Panama City just wasn't the same! All I can do now is wait for next September...Hope you guys have fun.

Hmmmm, lime green ? Do you think that will go with my hardly existent farmer's tan? Maybe I should just paint all the white spots green!:smooth:

We'll be there!, and I am not a bit organised.....panic!. We start driving down on the 19th, cannot wait!, its our first cruise also. Hope to meet some fellow DISer's.
