My first post! :)

My family took our first (and only) trip to Walt Disney World in 1992. I turned 8 years old in the month that we went. Overall, it was a blast! However! I didn't have as much fun as I could have had, though: Our first or second night there, we went exploring Carribean Beach Resort and walked into a shop. I loved and wanted everything, of course! (I could just see myself playing dress up in the Disney princess costumes!) I ended up getting a Lady stuffed animal, and my sister got the Tramp. But while there, I did something, by accident, that made me absolutely miserable for the rest of the trip!

Regardless of my mother telling me not to touch anything, I was completely enthralled with a Disney princess thimble, and I picked it up to look at it closer. When I went to put it back, it somehow slipped out of my hand and fell to the floor, breaking. I paniced, and was too afraid to tell anyone, much less my parents. I felt horrible! The entire rest of the trip I just KNEW the Disney police were going to come and arrest me! I remember walking into Epcot with the family, and a security guard happened to greet us. That was it - I just knew I was done for! (And if you go back and watch the family video, you can clearly see a difference in me after that night. I was entirely traumatize by the experience!)

So. I've been on the run since '92! But it's time. I've booked my first solo trip for October, and I'm going to turn myself in! Ha! I'm probably going to have to buy a dozen thimbles to replace the memory! (Guess what everyone is getting for Christmas this year?!?)

Whew! Feel better getting that off my chest! ANYWAY... I'm sooo friggin excited! It's been way too long! I'm going solo, I'm tall enough to ride whatever I want, I can eat all the yummy food I want, and I can stay up as late as I want! Being an adult going to Disney World is going to ROCK! ;)

Have fun and bring bail money! :rotfl: I'm sure the warrant is still active.

I have been laughing out loud for the last 5 minutes after reading OPs post. I love this story and I think you should get the keys to the kingdom for admitting this past discretion. I hope you have the time of your life. Solo is fun. Just remember, down time is pool lounger time with umbrella cocktails by your side. . .just sayin.

Lol you should make up a written pardon and go to where Mickey is and have him autograph it! Have fun on your trip! And don't touch anything!!! Lol

oh what a horrible thing for a 8 yr old. sure Mickey has forgiven you

sorry it took you so long to get back to WDW.
