On the Fence

Living in NJ...our family has just about had it with the weather. We originally planned to drive down to WDW April 11-18 (probably stopping somewhere in NC overnight), the busiest time of year. Reason for this is my wife is a teacher and her schedule aligns with the kids school schedule. Airlines way too much, and we were staying off site. Using my Disney Chase card rewards to ease the pain of buying hopper passes for the whole family. Trying to make this a painless as possible. School unfortunately will be open during the spring break because of all the weather so we were going to take them out. Debating if its worth it.

I have been hearing of this FP+ debacle and the crowd levels during Spring Break, Good Friday, Passover, etc. Will be down there with the rest of the country.


Am I just being stubborn? Is it worth it with all the BS?

If FP+ is your only issue, then please don't let that keep you from enjoying the magic that only comes from a Disney vacation

If you can go, GO! You never know what the future holds. And I know this sounds so cliche, but before you know it, your kids will be grown and it won't be the same. My husband is a college professor and he never had the same spring break as my children. I regret the trips we passed up. But we did pull them out of school a few times. And guess what...all three of mine made it to college just fine. Go. And if you are looking to cut costs, maybe ditch the hopper option. ? We never missed it.
