On the DDP (regular) which places require double credits?

Correct me if I am wrong but so far I know that its
Cinderellas RT
Chip and Dales HF

What about chef Mickeys and the Norway / princess one ( Wont even try to spell it !) ? Any others?
Thanks

The 2TS places are called Signature Dining Locations. They are more upscale, in other words more pricey than your regular meals, which explains the requirement of 2TS credits.
Here's a link to this year's brochure:
http://adisneyworld.disney.go.com/m...09 Disney Dining Plan - Walt Disney World.pdf

The list (I may have missed a couple) is:
In the Resorts:
Jiko (AKL)
Flying Fish Cafe (BWI)
California Grill (CR)
Hoopdeedoo Revue (FW)
Mickey's Backyard BBQ (FW)
Citricos (GF)
Narcoossees (GF)
Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show (Poly)
Artist Point (WL)
Yachtsman Steakhouse (YC&BC)

In the Parks:
Hollywood Brown Derby (DHS)
Cinderella's Royal Table (MK)

AK & Epcot do not have any 2 TS meals.
The only character meal that is 2 TS is CRT.
Basically, each Deluxe resort has at least one Signature Restaurant, but the majority of Dining Plan qualifying restaurants are a single credit.

Thank you so much. That was really helpful! I thought Askerkas ( lol at my spelling!!!! :lmao:) was a double credit. Thats awesome that its not!

One last question
If I have some things on the DDP but not enough credits leftto cover everyone can I pay the remainder in cash? Just as a example only but say CRT but I only have enough 1 table service credit left for everyone.. Can I just pay the rest in cash and they take off the difference? ( Put the 2 kids credits together top make one paid and pay cash for the other?)

I know we are not likely to run out ofanything but I never used the DDP before and wanted to be sure. Thanks again! :goodvibes

I'm pretty sure they don't let you do that, because technically TS credits are not attached to an actual dollar amount. They wouldn't be able to charge you the difference. I suppose you're actually asking about extra people though. For most 2 TS credit places I think this would be a possibility.

The thing about CRT is that is requires payment in full, in advance, so they don't actually present you with a check. (at least they didn't when I went...we ended up not using our DDP credits for it though) If you are on the Dining Plan when you make the ressie, they make a note of it, and plan to redeem the credits, but they still require a credit card in case you decide to cancel at the last minute. I think they would let you pay the difference at the end of your meal if you didn't have enough credits left though.

Anyways, I think for things to be less confusing, it would probably be better to pay for an entire meal OOP, instead of half OOP and half with the Dining Plan. It's possible, but more complicated. (I prefer to make things less complicated for myself, but sometimes it doesn't work out like that)

Basically, I would decide which meals I was paying for OOP beforehand based on price. For example, if you're planning 2 credits per person over your DDP allotted amount, then I would decide which two credits are the better value on the DP.
Some meals are less than $20/person, which make them less of a value on the DP. CRT for dinner is $57.19 which equates to almost $30 a credit, which is a better value.

When I did the dining plan, I got online and looked at the prices for every meal we were considering. Based on that I determined which meals we would pay for OOP. I had 12 credits planned, when we were each only allotted 9.
I ended up paying for CRT in advance, because I wasn't on the Dining Plan when I made my ADRs, and decided I didn't want to go through the hassle of getting my money refunded. I probably should have gone through the trouble, but it was only a difference of a couple dollars.
Then, I had planned on paying for our last breakfast OOP. It was Boma at AKL which is only $18.99/person. We ended up canceling this last ADR, because we had no TS credits left, but plenty of CS and snack credits the morning with left. We decided it wasn't worth paying the extra money when we had perfectly usable credits.

We loved the Dining Plan. My DH never wants to go back to Disney again without it.

I looked up all the character meals last week, to help my two friends pick which one they wanted to do. Pretty much all the character meals now are 2 TS credits.

I was just going to ask that, too. I just double-checked the 2009 DDP and the only character dining for 2 TS credits is CRT still.

I can't imagine that Disney would change that, but I've been surprised before.

Whew! Thanks!

I got a little nervous for a minute. I was wondering how I was going to tell DD7 that the character meals were pretty much out on our next trip.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I suppose they could still change it, but I cannot imagine it would be for all of them. Some cost less than $20/person, which would make them barely worth a single credit, let alone 2!

The Akershus is the best value character meal, IMO, since you receive a picture with Aurora with the meal (@ least we did last December), as well as a salad bar, entree and desert. The menu is a bit unusual, but the food was good.

They won't let you split the cost with the DDP per se, but if you have 2 adults going and you have 2 TS credits left, you could put one person's meal on DDP and pay OOP for the other.
