Hey guys!!

Thinking about switching to the Boardwalk Inn for my DD and I in September. Never stayed, but, man, it looks so nice! A little concerned about the pool, have never seen it in person, looks a little small from the pictures...keep in mind I considered WL pool small for the guest capacity. Also, the clown slide, is it really that freaky-looking as it looks to me from the photos I've seen? Oh, one more thing, anybody that has stayed on the concierge level there could help me out with opinions, I'd appreciate it.

the main pool is on the BWV not BWI - that is just the quiet pool.

Yes I think that clown is very freaky. :rotfl:

but you can't see it from the Inn only the villa get to see that face.

It is bigger than WL main pool - don't know by how much?

My wife actually likes the slide at BW better than the one at SAB -- smoother, gentler, just more fun. Go figure.

Anyway: we didn't think the pool was too small to accomodate people. It wasn't overly crowded when we were there.

As for concierge: we had mixed feelings about it. The concierge lounge is very nice, and a comfortable place to hang out and scarf down salty "goldfish" and soda. It was a great place to grab coffee and a muffin in the morning, too. And late at night, they had interesting things like chocolate-covered strawberries. But we stayed 10 days, and after the first couple days, it got very repetitious. Not a lot of variety in the food. That was three years ago. Dunno if the picture has changed. :confused3 Oh: and you can see some of the IllumiNations fireworks from the lounge, too.

The other perks -- having special help to make reservations for meals and shows -- was VERY helpful. The concierge staff contacted us a few weeks before our trip and were able to snag us breakfast at the Castle -- no small feat!

I agree the pool looks a bit freaky (I have a small clown phobia lol) We stayed in a studio at the villas and the pool was right out our window...the clown glows at night..lol But the pool is good sized we went in Oct...so it was never really busy

I have to agree with everything Greg K. posted except that I think all the lounges have a problem with the food being repeticious. The only lounge that really changes their offerings significally in the evenings is the Polynesian. We really only use the lounge for drinks and a snack in the morning. My DH likes to go to WDW but dining is a big part of the experience for him.

We just got back from the BC and we did not like the pool at all even though it is supposed to be the best on property. Too big, too crowded, and too spread out for us. The lounge and the offerings were just O.K., we actually found a couple of the CM's to be rude which is the reason we probably won't go back.

BC/YC/BWI shares an IPO and is one of the best, the CM's are amazing. Also, you will find some of the best CM's in the BWI lounge.

We have stayed twice at BWI and my kids loved that pool! We were there both times in Feb. and never felt the pool was crowded. The clown is not freakish, I just don't get that whole line of thought. The theme is circus and it is neat, very bright and colorful. The slide is great fun and the CMs are really nice and friendly. Oh, BTW, the pool bar is awesome!

Our family LOVES the BWV pool! DD's 8 and 6 loved that slide, and rode it over and over. We never found the pool that crowded, and we were there last July.

I have a slideshow of the BWV pool if that will help: BW Luna Park Pool

Put us down as another family that likes Luna Park better than SAB!!! Dd, almost 12, liked SAB well enough, but said that she preferres Luna Park. We like the fact that we can see her at all times at Luna Park. Can't do that at SAB. Yes, she's a fish in the water, but still 'stuff' happens.
Is the pool too small? No, I don't think so. We found it to be less congested than the Volcano Pool at the Polynesian.
And it seems to be easier to get food at Leaping Libations than at Hurricane Hannah's. That may not be the true case, just our observation last month. Took forever to get a few hot dogs at SAB...never had that kind of wait at Luna Park.

Wow Tagrel! Thanks for the slideshow link...it's terrific!

My DS thinks the clown looks as if he's puking out people... I think the slide looks GREAT! :sunny:

My dd has been known to sceam, just as she comes through the clown's mouth..."Here comes clown spew!!"

I love your slideshow - also looked at the one on BCV. I thought I had it all figured out by wanting to stay at the Boardwalk but boy that pool at BCV sure looks great - even the kiddie area. I hate decisions.
