So me and DW went to Disney on our Honeymoon and for the first time I stayed in a Disney Resort. (PO:FQ) :cool1:

Now in the past I have always stayed off-site because I know where to find the cheap deals for 30 or 50 a night and that always seemed to be a better deal then the 100+ Disney is charging per night.

But after staying at a Disney resort and being able to get up and go the to the Parks when I wanted too. (off-site only has 1 or 2 shuttles early in the morning)

I must say I think I have been converted from Off-site to On-site. No to mention it's nice to get back to your hotel in a timely fashion and rest.

The only draw back was someone kept crapping in the pool so they had to keep closing it for sanitary reasons. :furious:

So i am wondering what other people think, Do you like off-site or on-site? Have you tired both?

This is an age old debate on this board ... and many others. Before we had our 3rd child we always stayed on site. Now with three children the convenience of a 2 or 3 bedroom condo outweighs the convenience & pixie dust of staying on site.

Having said that we usually stay on site the weekend we arrive or leave just to make sure we get our dose of the magic.

I guess you could say we get the best of both Worlds :thumbsup2

I stayed offsite in the distant past, but since I started taking my family to WDW, it's been onsite all the way. It's not just for the perks and convenience, there's also the theming, and the warmth of the pools, and the Disney resort channels.

We have done both and while I prefer on site I will stay off site for larger accomodations. We rent a car either way so transportation is not an issue.

Just stayed onsite for the first time ( POP )and loved it . the convenience of me and disney transportation .the great theming . super clean . wonderfull mousekeeping . the offsite hotels that I stayed at before just never had the same atmosphere .

We quite often stay off-site for a few days to visit other places and then return the car at WDW and stay on-site. Advantage here is saving money with no car and taking ME back to the airport. Plus I have gotten some great deals thru skyauction.

Now we have DVC so we are onsite more than off.
