Is this worth it during Christmas week?
We could stay at one of the Loews properties overnight for $350 (before tax, of course). This would get us the express passes, as well as free parking. For three of us, that equates to a $75 value. We would of course also get early access to Harry Potter, the water taxi, more time to enjoy the evening activities, etc.
The plan is to spend a few nights at a Marriott hotel (using points) and then shift to a timeshare. We want to go to Universal, and aren't sure if the on-site benefits are sufficiently great that it warrants the additional costs. So this would be our only accommodation cost for a 10-day trip.
Then once we have Universal under our belts, it's back to WDW!
