On-site hotels cancellation policy?

We are considering staying at an on-site hotel with the new EMH policy. What is their cancellation policy? I emailed them to ask but they said it may be a week before they respond.

We have someone with a medical condition (may need surgery) so our plans are very undetermined right now. I imagine they would be flexible with one room, but we would need two and who goes determines where we stay. I don't want to take any chances that we can't cancel.

If you are doing room only and not a package:
Cancel/Change Policy: Notification of cancellation or change must be received at least 5 days prior to your arrival date. Your deposit is nonrefundable in the event of a cancellation 4 day or less prior to arrival.

If you book as a hotel reservation only (as opposed to a vacation package), you can cancel with full refund if you do so more than 5 days before your check-in date. The vacation packages have much stricter cancellation policies but I don't know what they are for sure.

Just double check with the CM when you make your reservation!

Also WTC packages gave insurance if you opt for it. Full refund for hotel only if cancel 5 days before planned arrival.

I wish I had that Disney feeling at work.

One thing to note for the "room only" (not a package)...you need to "cancel" at least 5 days out. However, you can call to "change" your reservation even up until the day before. I'm not sure of the exact timing (e.g. is it 24 hours before, or noon the day before, etc.), but you can call to ask. So you could just change to a different date and not lose your deposit.
