I have the Dis website started and have many pics from our vacation. When I scan them and upload them to the dis website they are huge. When and where do I shrink them down/ When I am scanning them or when I have them on the website. Thanks
You'll probably want to "re-size" your images before you upload them sherrie.
I assume that the software that came with your scanner will allow you to "manipulate" your images. The largest size you'll want to post on the web is 640 pixels (or about 5 inches) on the longest side and then adjust the "resolution" to 72 dpi. This will give you decent image quality, but still keep the file size manageable.
If you need more info on this, please, don't hesitate to ask!
<font color=navy>For the posts here, I would say no wider than 600 pixels.
It's better to use pixels than inches, so try & choose that when you scan. Also, you might want to export the image to a .jpg instead of a .tiff or .bmp
