On property perks when not booking through Disney

Has anyone had any experience booking room only reservations through non Disney agents?

Curious to know if you book a resort stay through non Disney booking such as hotels.com, are the same perks available as if you had booked through Disney?

It seems reasonable that extra magic hours would be available but not sure about the 60 day FPP windows and the 180+10 day ADR window.

Yep all available. You just have to link your reservation to My Disney Experience

The only thing I didn't get when booking with a TA over disney directly was luggage tags with my magic bands. I had DME and all other perks.

The on-site perks are for all registered guests of Disney resorts. Doesn't matter who you book through, whether it's a room-only or a package or DVC points, or how much you paid.

And for what it's worth, I've had my room requests met just as often booking through a third party as I have through Disney. I've never been given what I would consider to be a "bad" room just because I didn't book direct. I book whatever way gets me the best price. Sometimes it's direct with Disney, sometimes it's not. But the resort experience is the same either way.

I had a package but they it was convention rates so that's probably why I didn't get them.

We've had same experience-got our requests at CBR, at BC my only request was full balcony-ended up in room overlooking quiet pool (did not book pool/water view), this was during remodeling at BC though and the room was the "old" one-didn't bother me one bit but I suspect most were asking for the refurbished rooms. I booked through orbitz with a 15% off code, stacked on top of Disneys 20-35% off discounts (got BC for 50% off!) I know somewhere there was a discussion that those booked through discounters that those were always given the worst rooms-supposedly by someone "in the know" who said that.

You have to have a Magic Your Way package specifically. A package made up by a TA doesn't count as that.

Yes, you still get all those things. I've booked with both Southwest Vacations and Expedia, no problem with either one.

If you have a Magic Your Way package for the free dining, you should get the plastic souvenir luggage tags that match the MBs.

If you somehow don't have a MYW package, there's no way to get those tags other than from eBay etc. you will not be getting them for the room-only stay.

Oh man, I have so much more to learn. I didn't realize bounce back offers can include FD. We didn't even receive a bounce back offer when we were at AoA.

Read some of the Bounce Back threads on the Discount Codes section of the Resorts forum. BB are always available, even if you don't find the information in your room.

We are annual pass holders, and we get luggage tags every trip. We also fly every trip as well, maybe that's why.

Me too! We usually book a package and I look foward to getting them for each trip, seeing what the designs are. This year I booked with reward miles so I won't be getting them either.
