I've read in other posts that it is generally better pricing to book separately than a package. I am looking at the 7 day land/sea package. Is it still better for me to book it all separately even though I am not a AP holder, not a DC member and not a Florida resident...just a plain ole AAA member?

Also. if I book it separately, how do I book the transportation I need from the airport to WDW then to Port Canaveral and then back from there to the airport?

You can almost always come out cheaper by booking everything separately (air, WDW, DCL), even without special credentials/memberships. I do remember one person from overseas stating that it is actually cheaper for them to just get the package (they had priced it out both ways).

You can have DCL bus transportation included with your cruise, if that is your transportation of choice.

It's not as complicated as it may seem at first.

I have never found a package to be cheaper than booking everything seperately. It just takes a little extra planning. For our June 2004 honeymoon, we plan on taking a town car from the airport to DCL, and then the towncar from DCL to WDW. We used Tiffany Towncar on our trip last year and were very happy with the price and service.

We booked our last two trips as packages, but this time we're going "ala carte". We will save some money because we can choose our rooms separately (we want category 4 family stateroom on the ship since there will be five of us, but will probably take one room at PO Riverside (Alligator Bayou has some trundle beds, and DGD who will be 3 will think that's quite an adventure) or possibly adjoining rooms at one of the All Stars. We also don't need the LOS passes with all the extra features. We don't go to water parks, and we probably won't be going to Pleasure Island, and we don't go to any parks on the last day of the WDW portion of the trip (just too much running around for a vacation), so we're probably going to downgrade our park tickets dramatically. We will be adding Disney Cruise Line transfers (not the most economical, but for us, the best choice). I'll post again once I have the whole thing set up for sure (about two to three more weeks--son has to confirm his vacation by then).
