i need some help from my friends.

my little man is doing cub scouts and they went out scouting for food on saturday. the article was in the newspaper and i want to put it in his scrapbook. what do you do when you put the article in the book. i know it's not archival safe. i think i remember there being a spray of something. am i right? and won't it make the paper all wet?

any suggestions??

There is a spray called Archival Mist that you can buy and spray on things that are nonarchival. You could also scan the article into the computer- or download it from the paper website and print it onto cardstock- making it archival that way.

If their was a picture of your son in the article many papers will send you a print if you ask. I know I have a couple of prints from high school Miami Herald articles.

Oooh, is there a link? (Why are my fingers so far off this keyboard? I keep having to find my start place again and again!).

Archival Mist is very expensive. I would recommend printing the article out, if you can, and scrapbooking that.

Bubba must have been so excited to be in the newspaper!!!!! :thumbsup2

I got archival mist or something very similar at archivers for $15.00....
I tend to spray my newspaper articles with that...

Than sometimes I tuck them away and just scan them in and print them on cardstock... ;)

ok. no link. it was just the article saying that they would be scouting for food. i wanted to put it with the pictures i took of them actually doing it.

so are you suggesting that mist stuff? where would i find some? i have no scanner so i can't scan it in. nuts!

You should be able to find it at ACM, J's or M's. :)

do you think i can get mr.po3 to go get it???

Thanks for asking this! My little man was just in the paper too. He was featured in an article about a local Halloween party. He was dressed in a chicken suit with a sash across him that said "Pox". He was Chicken Pox! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

I had a pig hat with a "Flu" sash across me and DH had a feather mask and boa with "Flu" across him. We had an infectious Halloween! :lmao: The bad thing, it really was infectious. We are all sick now...DS went to the doctor this morning, DH and I are this afternoon. Thankfully DS does not have the flu, just croup.

Let me dig up a pic...Here you go...
