?? on making a ressie

I am making my first reservation as a new DVC owner this coming week.... I have two questions.
Background first: My use year is June; I have all my 2003 points to bank soon; I want to make a reservation for my home resort at the 11 month window.

Now my questions:
1) If I bank my 2003 points before making a reservation can I use these points toward my 2004 ressie?
2) If the answer to my first question is yes, what happens to these points if I need to cancel my ressie more than a month from my arrival date?

I assume you will be making the reservation for September 2004 (11 months)? In order to use the 2003 points for Sept 2004, they must be banked since your reservation is in your 2004 use year. All point usage is based on the date of your stay, not the date you make the reservation. June 2003 points are only good for stays between 6/1/03 and 5/31/04. If they are banked, they are good for stays between 6/1/04 and 5/31/05. If you cancel more than 30 days prior, these banked 2003 points must be used for a stay between 6/1/04 and 5/31/05.
