Has anyone used this yet? I was reading about it and it said that it would not speed up getting your room, so what is the advantage, just a shorter amount of time at the front desk upon arrival? Do you get a room assignment when you check in on line? If there is an issue with your room assignment can you easily get it resolved at the desk even if you check in on line? Just wondering how it was working.

I haven't used Disney's online check in system ... I didn't know they had one, but I have used it for another hotel. I think it was a Hyatt in New York. The cool thing was that when we arrived at the hotel, we used a kiosk to check in. We simply put our credit card into the machine, verified the information and it gave us our keys and directed us to the elevators.

I'm not sure this is actually up and functioning yet. But even if it were, I won't be trying it until a bunch of others have been guinea pigs.

Given the really poor browsing experience that is the Disney web site, I have very little confidence that they can implement an on-line check-in function that will be reliable and easy to use.:surfweb:

I was thinking the same thing. I have a few room needs, connecting etc and I would feel better having a cm to check me in so I can have my issues worked out if need be. I will be intersted to see how this works out.

From what I heard, it only "helps speed" the resort end of the checkin, this is the time you can put your requests in, needs wants etc. Still need to checkin at the front desk, I have used this with Raddison before and it is much faster, as when you do go the the desk eveything is there at the time you checkin, they just asked for a ID and they gave me a folder with everything in it, room key, maps, your online checkin request, it just helps the no standing and waiting and watching the desk clerk typing asking 1 millon questions, etc....It will work and be nice, wait and see, we will when we go in June!!!:)

Bump. I am curious about this too?!?!? It was supposed to be up in Jan.

The website doesn't look like it is up yet. I didn't get anything about it in my MYW info and tags either.....

I guess anything that speeds things up is a plus.

As far as I know, it is not up and running yet. It'll be interesting when it does pop up. I am not sure if I am going to use it though. I am still undecided.

If it is up and running in time, we're going to try it out. I'll post back and let you all know how it goes. I kind of like "going where no man (or woman) has gone before"!

I always check in online when I can, whether it be a hotel or flight. I just like doing things myself so as long as it is implemented correctly I am all for it. I will be staying at the Dolphin post cruise so I won’t be able to try the self sign in unless the Swan/Dolphin implements their own.

What I’m really interested in is an online ADR system.
