On-line game sites for kids.

My DS is 10 and he is looking for an on-line virtual multi-player game for kids. He wants to interact with other kids and either be able to help them or fight them. I'm thinking he is thinking of a quest type game where you have to gather up stuff to help you play.

I have no experience with anything like that and don't even know where to start. I am a little hesitant to let him look on his own.
