on line florist?

I always try to find a local florist in the town I am ordering. I look in the online newspaper to try to find one or at least one with a local address/phone.

Generally, they will be cheaper and the flowers will be bigger/more of them.

I agree. If I order from 1800flowers dot com,for instance, my flowers will be arranged and delivered by the same florist I would use if I was going to pick them up here in town. The difference is I would pay more because 1800flowers dot com has to get their cut, too.

Look in the paper...or online (google search for local florists). The flowers are much better quality and there's more of them. Might also try FTD.com. I think sometimes they send the order to a local florist.

My dad got my mom flowers from 800flowers.com for Valentines day...the flowers were practically dead when she got them...and there weren't near as many in the bouquet as was advertised on the web. Big disappointment.

Oops ,maybe it's FTD I'm thinking of. I do remember someone sent me flowers they ordered on line and they were delivered by the same local florist I have used for over 40 years.
