On-line check in question

I check in on Saturday, 2 days ago I received and email stating I can start the online check in. The only reason I haven't done it yet is because I requested a certain room number. what are my chances getting my request if I check- in online compare to speaking with them when I check-in?

It has worked out well with us getting our request, but with the online does it make a difference? I am more concerned because I just find out we are going to be getting to Disney late on Saturday compare to us getting there in the morning. So my chances of getting my request just went down.

Should I do online or not? What do you think?

I did not do online checkin the last time we went. But I have read on the boards here that it didn't seem to matter what requests you put in, the online checkin didn't seem to help folks get them. Maybe calling the resort that morning might help?

I think your chances of getting a particular room aren't very good no matter which method you use to check in. The room you want has to be available on the day you check in. Since you are getting in late on Saturday, the odds of it being available are even less. I would do online check in and hope the the room assigner sees your request from MS, is able to honor it and no one else has "spoken to them" and gotten a change to the room you wanted.

I was finally able to get into the site to do online check-in for stay starting tomorrow and when I got to the question about room requests, there was no option to edit to enter any! So I don't know what will happen when we actually get there.

As long as your request is on the reservation, they should see it. Did you add your requests when you made the reservation? If not, call member services to add it.

I did--the requests were made through MS, so that's what I hope will drop down when the room assigner is doing their thing. Since it's our 1st stay at BLT (MK view), I didn't really even know what to ask for.

I agree with Carol. Anytime you request a specific villa by room number, the odds are probably going to be against you anyway you check in.

i did online check in for our vacation last week...i got my request, close to lobby...
