On Line Check-In: Can't Edit/Add Room Requests

I just attempted to check-in online for my upcoming trip....I'm renting points for this trip from a DVC owner, if that matters.

I tried to edit the "Confirm or add special requests" area to add my room request, but I couldn't. I get a pop-up that says: "Add up to 2 room requests. Though we try to honor all requests, we cannot guarantee them, unless otherwise indicated below". This window looks like I should be able to type in it, but I can't. Tried several browsers, same problem.

So is this a problem with my reservation or with the online check-in system?

That request box is not applicable to DVC reservations. Any requests must be made through Member Services.

The same on-line check-in process is used for reservations (Cash or Points) at all Disney Resorts (DVC & Non-DVC) that support on-line check-in.

What happened is that the on-line check-in system you see was created for Disney cash reservations and it existed and was used for that purpose before DVC even had on-line check-in. DVC was just added to that system but without application of the request box because the typical requests allowed by that box are not ones that relate to DVC.

I am a dvc member and did on-line check in Sept at vwl and was able to enter my requests such as ground floor in that box. I didn't go thru member svcs for those.
