On hold hell!!!

I'm on hold with unemployment. They said it would be approx a 25 minute wait. 25 minutes went by, and the recording came on and said it was now a 20 minute wait!

I have 20 minutes till I have to take my girls to school.... Hope I'm off the phone by then....

It's been about 6 months now, but the one day while DH was out running around, he got a text to contact the unemployment office. He called in, said the wait was 20 minutes. Since he had it on hands free, he just sat the phone on the seat next to him and kept driving.

Half hour later, he was driving by the actual office, so he just whipped into the parking lot, parked, went in and talked to the vet rep. Was in and out of the office in 10 minutes. When he got back in the car, he saw the phone laying on the seat - he had forgotten that he had laid it on the seat. His call was still on hold and it was telling him that the wait was only 10 minutes.

Yea, you gotta love calling into their offices.

with most phones having a battery, I have been on hold and had to run get a new phone by the time they finaly get up.

I do hate the phone systems were you never get a person but they want you to push this number for this or this number for that it can take to 10 minutes to get to the person to put you on hold
