On Hold for over an Hour!

I am on hold now and was hoping for a 30 min wait and shocked at this thread of 3 hours.....grrr...yes the celtic chant with drums was cool for the first 5 mins and now it is just annoying

Hello Disney - how about a call back system?

Finally got through and done! Booked on the sailing and in one of my top staterooom choices! The cast member was so nice and helpful.

Now after 4 hours, I got silence and then I am getting a fast busy signal.
Ahhhhhh......
My call simply disconnected after 4 hours 7 minutes. Clearly, they did not budget anywhere near enough staff to accommodate DVC, which seems a bit short-sighted--would have been smarter if they could have had an IT solution to book online, which you'd think should be possible given the DVC/DCL accounts are linked. I have a hard stop in 1.5 hours so I guess I'll be taking my chances there is something left over by tomorrow morning that I can book online as silver. On the plus side, with waits this long, maybe that means they are not processing a ton of reservations because they are spending loads of time troubleshooting DVC status/FCC issues, and there will still be something left tomorrow after all :joker:

Oh no! That stinks. Hope you can still make it happen.

Called around 12:30pm, 3.5 hour hold, finally got thru.

All concierge rooms sold out, went for 4B room on 4 night sailing in August ($3100), paid approx $500 deposit and added insurance ($230)

Early dining sold out, so got 8pm dining and waitlisted the earlier dining and also waitlisted concierge room

I am glad I don't have to listen to that hold music anymore

Keep checking for dining anyway if it is important to you - I was added to the waitlist but was able to swap myself over online. I would have thought they would hold it back for the waitlist but maybe its not automatic...

I finally got through and made my reservations at 4 pm. That was just a hair shy of 8 hours on the phone. We went for 4B room on the 4 night sailing on September 26. That hold music was bonkers. I don't want to have to listen to that again.

And your screen name is Musical2

I agree that that hold music began to hurt my ears and I turned down the volume and was worried I would NOT hear the cast member pick up. But I was in a quiet office and was more worried that I would hit the wrong button on my phone and hang up on them.

I'm on hold now after getting hung up on all morning (DVC). Supposedly 33 minutes but it's been 45 so far...

Finally got my reservation! Slim pickings left for the two cruises we were looking at. Total phone time according to my call history split across three calls (got disconnected once and had to hang up once for work) = 8 hours, 19 minutes.

That's a full day's work. Time for a cocktail.

I've been on hold to get a reservation this morning for over an hour. Is this typical?
During a new release, yes. If you wait a few weeks, it will go back to normal and not take so long. Anywhere from 0 - 30 minutes is a typical wait. That's why it's best to book online during a new release period, especially when a brand new ship is debuting.

Okay, y'all. Slight update to my own post. I don't know what was going on with the phone CMs today, but after all that waiting, I was initially super relieved that I'd waited because the CM told me there were no more rooms on either of the bump outs except one on deck 6 (which I took but was not wild about due to potential noise from the lobby below). I sign in, hit modify just see options, and it shows me bump out rooms available on literally every level. Switched to my preferred floor online no problem.

So for any silvers reading this, y'all are probably fine to get a decent selection of rooms tomorrow.

I was able to memorize the lineup of the songs in order. I guarantee you that was more than an hour to figure that out.
A lineup of more than one song?? You l don’t know how lucky you are. Yesterday I had a single song on repeat All. Day. Long. WHY?!?!?!
