? on checking the amount of days on your old tickets

So I have a few tickets that I believe have days left over on them and I also have a couple of tickets left over from a few Disney Dining Promotions. I'm heading to Disney soon and I know that I can check with CS to see whats left on my tickets but I was wondering if anyone has just copied the tickets and used the copies instead of bring the tickets and have to worry about misplacing them while we are on vacation? Or are the copies just as valuable as the tickets since if found someone could get replacements couldn't they?

To be extra cautious, you can link the Tickets to your MDE account before you head to WDW with the copies. In that way, anyone who found the ticket copies couldn't exchange them nor link them to their MDE.
