? on changing reservations and deposit due dates

I posted this on the Resorts forum and didn't get any response, thought maybe I'd have better luck here.

If I book a package, I know I am required to pay a deposit 14 days from the time of reservation. If I change my reservation (I may slide it a day or two forward or back),is my deposit now due 14 days from the time of the change, or do they keep it 14 days from the original reservation?

Also, if I don't want to change anything.....just want to delay paying the deposit, can I rebook(if the package is still available) and then cancel the first reservation?
