Hi everyone,

New proud DVC member as of March 2005. Thanks again for all the help thru out the last year in helping us make up our minds to purchase.

When we purchased our resale, the contract had some 2003 banked points that will expire in Aug. So I reserved a few nights for my sister and her family. They would like to stay some extra days but at maybe another resort/hotel (all-star/POR). Would I be able to rent them the rooms under my member account and make it one reservation or should they just rent themselves hoping to get a good/better deal?

DVC points cannot be used at a value resort. They can be used at a moderate resort but the points are higher than a DVC studio.

I think you're asking about reserving on cash, not points. If so, you should know that members themselves don't get a discount. You could use points for a stay at any resort other than the value but at the resorts that also have DVC, you can't get the hotel potion on points. I'd suggest they try other DVC resorts with second option being Port Orleans if you're using points. If it's cash, no reason to combine them at all since it's not possible and there would be no benefit if you could.

Unless you're talking about making a cash ressie at a DVC resort through MS (not CRO). Members get 25% off rack rate at the DVC resorts only BUT it's not always available AND if it is available the member must be staying in the room so you wouldn't be able to reserve the room for someone else if you won't be staying in the room yourself. But just a little more info. on the subject for you

if you have a AP there are discounts to be had with that, I just returned from POR $109 a night. not bad, it would have ben $149 a night. I just cant wait to go home in oct
