you know it wasn't until last night when my little girl was playing the game that I realized that our ride rooms river or track are showing up on the splash mountain list...- which is why all the random people coming to visit- I kept wondering why every time I Was in my store room for track that I kept getting all these random guests pop in lol- it is because the rooms show up on yet another list

DD was popping in and out of all sorts of rooms using that function so I suppose I should understand... but I did tell her to ask before entering the room and getting on any rides- that she could ride all she wanted if they said ok but not to even step out of the door unless they said ok- especially if it looked like they were working

I've found that putting the title "Closed" helps somewhat in keeping visitors low. What works even better though is "Skull Rock" ... doesn't matter whether or not the room actually IS a skull rock room. It seems nobody wants to go into what they assume will be an undecorated cave given away for free by a cereal company. LOL

Only problem is my track store room was called "Skull Rock - Empty"
And I think I got more visitors there than anywhere else- I really didn't have a problem with them visiting my store room lol that is how I discovered the treadmill effect of the ride starts lol

But I do believe it is the splash mountain list that is getting us- dd wanted to do river rides last night and kept ending up in everest ride rooms... so then she let me play a game or two of fireworks and she spent all 10,000 credits on a twisty ride in her room lol- and then she started getting people stopping in to ride

Believe me, the 'closed' sign and the 'under construction' signs seem to draw them like flies! Doesn't even stop them.
However, the friends only button seemed to work well tonight.
My river rooms are open to the public, but I just hate everybody popping in and out when I'm building a room.

My friend's list is very similar, in fact, some of those are on mine as well! LOL. I went into two rooms yesterday that did not indicate "please do not enter" or to that extent, but was asked to leave anyway! The only rooms that I could enter I was kicked out of! LOL I am beginning to think it is a conspiracy!

LOL! That is what my friends list look like too! Usually, when I am tired of the ice and everest stuff, I have to hunt for people " free " of anything everest.
Unfortunately, sometimes I land in a room which is not labelled closed or do not enter to find myself in a very awkward situation. Although I really like this new type of competition VMK has put before us, I honestly can not wait till this thing is over! I miss my friends!

I haven't had a chance to actually start building my contest room yet. When I do I will put it on friends only. I won't have a closed sign or any other kind of sign on it though. My friends (all of them) are welcome in any of my rooms at any time. This is just the way I feel about it and I completely respect and understand others who prefer to work alone, that is perfectly fine. It would be really fun to win the contest, no doubt, but we can't all win, so I plan on having as much fun as I can competing and for me, fun in VMK includes all my friends. So if you are in my room and I'm building, don't be surprised if I ask you to move often and I'm slow to respond. It takes a lot of concentration for this old brain to flow with creativity Maybe I can make an observation deck to keep visitors out of the constuction zone?
I can't wait until the building is complete for everyone and I hope we can share our rides with each other soon! I propose a DIS open house night where we list all the teams and visit everyones rides. What does everyone think?

Make your room friends only and then name it "Not in Any Room"
then it looks like you are not really in a room. That also helps.

I hate this competition!! Everyone is hold up in their secret rooms and when they are not they are feverishly hoarding ice and credits. What has become of all of you!?

How long does this last? VMK may need to bring in a Mental Health professional to bring you all back to the land of the living!

Oh, and I am no spy! As I told someone last night, I would only reveal the secrets if someone offered me green flips!

TrixieBella, I'm not in the competition - I offered to partipate in a team but no one took me up on it. So I'm just chilling, only my store rooms are closed to public, but the other ones are open even if there is nothing there. I'm working on a Everest Room (that someone so kindly gave me the code for) and franky I don't have a clue what to do, I bought my first train tracks (3 sets) yesterday and was surprised to get so many curved pieces, I first idea for my room doesn't lend it's self to curves to well. My room is just for fun.
