On August 5th I need my hand held

My shoulder surgery is scheduled for August 6 (Monday). Yikes.
I will be soooooo nervous the day before.
I guess the plus side is I will have some paid time off. Gotta be a plus side, right?
I know Jeff will hold my cyber hand and be sympathetic.
Could be worse though. But I am surgery-phobic. I think I am going to see if I can get some valium for the day before and day of. Otherwise --

I will happily volunteer to be your pre/post surgery hand-holder. It will have to be a virtual title . . . But, that works well, because I can squeeze really hard and it won't hurt!

Just keep thinking about how much better your shoulder will feel once you have the surgery. (Spoken by someone who's gone to the doctor all of twice in the last 7 years. )

A friend had knee surgery yesterday & has been with us ever since. Her one comment is that her knee is not in pain anymore - so I hope the same for your shoulder. I've had shoulder problems, so I can sympathize. Think of happy Disney memories!

I know how you feel. I had over 6 operations last year. I felt the same way you do. They gave me Xanax. It didn't help. I couldn't sleep for nights. The only good thing was that I slept after and I was so happy to be done the pain didn't bother me. I will be thinking of you. Good luck.

Just remember - you will not remember a thing. You have the easy part - you just lie there.

Robyn is great at hand holding - she sure helped me thru my surgery and recovery. She is the best person for the job.
