Well, as of yesterday, I have decided to go to Disney World next week solo. Well, technically Saturday. But I won’t be visiting the parks until Sunday, so thats next week. :)

I’m not planning on making too many plans since this whole thing just sort of popped up. But I was thinking tonight there just seems like there is so many things I haven’t done at Magic Kingdom. For example, Mickey’s Philharmagic. If I end up doing some time at Magic Kingdom, have any suggestions on what I (adult) should do or see?

Thanks for your help!

EDIT:
I thought of another question, not specifically about MK. Is there a major benefit to using FastPass+ for one of the nightly shows? I've been occasionally glancing at what is available for FastPass+ - and I've made a couple selections. But is it worth using one of my selections for Rivers of Light, Fantasmic, or IllumiNations? I have seen Fantasmic and IllumiNations so I doubt I would use it for those, but I have not seen Rivers of Light (which I here is outstanding). In the past though, I've never really had an issue of getting a viewing spot for Fantasmic or IllumiNations, so I not sure if using a FastPass+ section is worth it.

Thanks again for the help!

Philharmagic is a good start. If I could only pick one thing to do at MK that would definitely be it! After that, do everything at MK that you haven’t done before. Enjoy!

another vote for Philharmagic. DW and I always see it when we stop by MK.

I would also suggest the Carousel of Progress. You can almost feel Walt's presence.

Take a ride around the park on the train. A ride around Tomorrowland on the Peoplemover.

It's corny but if you haven't done it stop in to the Country Bear Jamboree.

I would also suggest a cruise on the Riverboat but I believe it is down for renovation.

Is it sad the the Peoplemover is one of my favorite rides? :) So I definitely won't be missing that!

I have done Carousel of Progress... haha. I think when my family and I went to Disney World when I was eight, there was some lightning in the area (or I saw one flash of lightning possibly) and we were at MK. It was late in the day, I think nighttime at that point, my parents kept asking me what rides I wanted to go on, and such. I refused to go on anything. All they could get me on was Carousel of Progress because I didn't want to get struck by lightning. :) I always try to Carousel of Progress, just because of the history and nostalgia.

But I have not done the Country Bear Jamboree or even the Riverboat! So thank you for the tips!

  • Those are kind of what I was asking about. I'm not even sure if I've been to the Swiss Family Treehouse. Looking at the Disney World app, lets see what other attractions I've missed out on...
  • I've only been to Hall of Presidents once.
  • I've only did the Jungle Cruise once (I think) - but I loved it.
  • Peter Pan's Flight - never done.
  • Mickey's PhilharMagic - never done.
  • Under the Sea - never done.
  • Tomorrowland Speedway - I'm not sure if I've ever done it...
  • I don't know if I've ever done Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin either.
  • Astro Orbiter - never done.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, I haven't done either. But it looks like it is impossible to get a FastPass+ for it so when I'm there, I'll have to decide if its worth waiting in line. Currently the wait time is 180 minutes. haha.

Oh, and I have done Mad Tea Party many, many times. It was my favorite ride in the entire universe growing up (even though we only went to Disney World about every four years). My father hated that I loved that ride so much; even he would look green afterwards. I haven't done it in some years - mainly because I feel kind of silly being an adult and going on it solo... so I'm not sure if I'll fit it into this short trip. We'll see! Again... I'm trying hard not to make too many plans... and definitely failing miserably at it. lol

Same here... my history goes back to my parents taking me to the 1964 World's Fair.

DW and I are not fans of roller coasters but we did ride 7DMT once. We did it at rope drop. It is a mild coaster and worth riding at least once. As you are solo you might get lucky finding a FP+ if you are willing to keep looking. Otherwise being early to rope drop is the way to go.

Peter Pan's Flight - never done.

Oh my... Peter Pan is a classic dark ride. One of DW's favorites. Certainly worth trying though it is almost as hard as 7DMT to get a FP for. Once again, if we decide we want to ride PP we usually opt to plan for a rope drop visit. I don't have the patience to sit on the MDE app to get a FP+

More power to you! I would be like your father... green... or worse.

Try not to over plan... pick a few must do's and then go with what you feel in the moment.
Wishing you a pixiedust: visit!
