On a horse with no name!

Ok..it is 12PM.. I have been reading this TR since 7:30 this morning. Have I done anything else, no, not really.. (Well, I vacummed the living room and did some straightening up since I was babysitting today and have made lunch)

Awesome TR. Looking forward to hearing about the next trip.

Things that were just too funny....

UM's comments about birth control for those tsk-tsk non-parents..

i know i shouldnt laugh at the poor dear, but the yellow jacket story and the beer can in the chicken butt

Those were my fave parts..

Jeanette

well since we are sharing, I too got a Mustang for my 16th birthday....

it was a hot wheel. No trip to Pedro. Not even a new basket for my bike. My dad did write a "how to host a murder" personalized for me and my girlfriends and we dressed up like our parts and had brunch..... it was great! See I was a geek long before the DIS.

Ok- back on topic? where is the loud family? are they signing a DVC contact from their luxury HINB suite? or in the slammer for aggressive pin trading?

Sorry Twinkie, no DVC for the Loud Family. Way back then we were still pretty clueless about the whole DVC thing. I only knew that it existed. But, if I had known that we could have rented points, I would have been all over that! However, Felony got a free pin from the DVC guy at the MK. If all goes well with my new job, maybe we will be proud owners by our April '07 trip!

I’m starting to feel like this is the never ending trip report! We awake Saturday morning pack, load the van, drop the key off at the front desk, sign for our resort total of $419 (which I am proud of), and exit the HINB. You are probably thinking, oh good, they are heading for I4, and thus the end of this trippie! Not so fast there hot rod! The Loud Family heads to DTD for some more shopping and pin trading. The kidlets had carefully measured all other toys to compare the enjoyment level to those they found earlier at DTD. Since nothing met their standards, we have an obligation to fulfill the contract. They make their selections, and I send everyone off for WRTA, while I further assist Peter Cottontail. When we regroup, P9 informs me of some of pin thing happening at 2:00.

Me: Do you want to hang around here for two more hours?
P9: It’s up to you.
Me: No, it’s up to you. You’re the one who made a big deal about getting home to have plenty of time to relax before Monday.
P9: I’ll have tomorrow to rest…and I just wanted a day to play games.

Does anyone notice what is happening here?

Me: But we have those subs in the cooler that we planned to eat for lunch.
P9: Why can’t we eat them here?
Me: Why am I suddenly the rational one?

P9 puts our stuff in the car, grabs the subs, we eat, go to the pin trading, and still don’t leave DTD. We somehow found our way to Goofy’s candy shop, and that under $10 store. Finally, I do manage to drag P9 away from DTD, so we can hit the outlet one more time for pins for our next trip. P9 runs into the outlet alone, and once again, we are on the way. Do you think our Disney adventure ends here? Is it an uneventful trip home? What exactly can be exciting at this hour? Do we make it home before sunrise?

what's WRTA?

I likey pin trading thingys! I really hope Felony got the cute Marie from Aristocats!

Hey! notice anything different? No, I didnt color my hair (yet). No, I didn't lose weight (yet). Yes, I found lime Crocs (that's SO yesterdays news)!

Anything? like more "accurate" in our, say, signature line? :confused3 If you say "Help me out here, we have NO idea what the Sam Hill you're taliking about..."
I'll reach through your computer monitor and throttle you!

Isnt it Handy Pandy having a techie-nerd DH? If it was just me It'd be plain Jane!

Yes, Umama, I noticed it without you even pointing it out! I was just over on the Focker thread and said...hey, something is different! I only noticed Miss Piggy with the first look, and then noticed your new DS17! Does that more acurately represent his manly chest?

You don't know what a WRTA is? It is a waste removal time allotment!

Jip! 1985 was not a good Mustang year (the year I graduated!) BUT 1967 certainly was! All I got for my 16th birthday was a rock (Charlie Brown Halloween)

As long as we're sharing... I also got a mustang for my 16th bday. A 1982 grey two door. What a lemon!

You know what's not a lemon?

This trippie!

That sounds so like us! Hanging on til the last min .. soaking everything we can in!

Oh yeah I forgot to mention DH and I are just like you and yours. He gets side tracked so easily. And wants to do things that he should have already done!

Me: Come on we gotta go!
DH: You always gotta rush me, you never want to wait for me ... blah blah
Me: JUST GET YOUR @$%# IN THE CAR ALREADY!!!!!!

I too am in a perpetual state of "hurriedness" even when I am gonna be on time. But you gotta love 'um

So Slate! Is this Trip Report going to be done before you leave for the next trip?? I think you should leave the name alone. It grew on me after 2 seconds and I love it! I have to tell you, I am looking foreward to your next trip with the family (not as much as your SEPT. trip, though ;) ) just because Magical Gatherings are especially JUICEY. And JUICEY makes better Trip Reports, dotcha know! popcorn::

:bounce: Hur-ry-yup!!! Time's a wastin!

UMama,

I have the final post written, but I need Sirius' phone to get the exact wording of two funny awards that were posted in the St. Aug Denny's.

Hi Y'all! I'm up in Beantown so please don't call me a Yankee! I have spent days reading this entire trip report and RUL82 and Utah Mama and Twinkie Mama are so funny. I feel like I'm eavesdropping, but your conversation is so hilarious, I can't help myself. Love this trip report! I'm reading Twinkie's next! I wish I'd thought to name my daughter Felony. I think I'll have to rename her Miss Demeanor althought sometimes she is Miss Demeaner as she has quite the quick temper.

Or...Welcome to the FUNNY FARM!!! :grouphug:

P9 decides to catch some Z’s just in case I have a moment of weakness and needed him to drive. He and the kids are all snoozing and a couple of hours later, I found myself exiting in St. Augustine. It was an uncontrollable force that I could not fight! Yet again, we find ourselves in a Disney outlet…buying stuff and pins. We also scored a few free pins. I guess the manager was really really bored and needed to pass the time. We had to put on our thinking caps, and find the mistake in the pin. I got a Pinocchio with Peter Pan’s hat. P9 got a Mickey with the wrong color belt, and a few others. After we finished tormenting this poor man, we headed to Denny’s for a supposed uneventful meal. Fortunately, we got a waitress who had her funny on. She was quizzed by Mr. Clean who was on a new kick about filtered water. “Is your water filtered?” “Did you know that Disney water is not filtered?” “Have you tasted non-filtered water?” Felony was rambling about her pink lanyard, and Sleeping Beauty, and who knows what. DS9 was telling the waitress that it was ok to give him and his siblings a butter knife because they had received proper training. The Loud Family was back in action and there was plenty of eye rolling from the PPP. As we were leaving, we noticed that this particular Denny’s had received two incredible awards.

Denny’s #253 won the
Four Diamond Restaurant
Third Trimester Award 2004

I ‘m not sure why this is so funny, but we were rolling! Could it be the four diamonds, or congratulating them on making it through their first two trimesters?

However, if any of you are traveling through St. Augustine, you must stop by Denny’s #253 and congratulate them on their exemplary achievement as the 2004 winner of the
Best Food Waste award. Let’s all stand up and applaud their dumpster filling efforts. Here’s to a job well done!!

If you have been keeping track, yes it is about 10:00 PM and we are still in Florida! I know there is no way I can stay awake, so P9 takes over the driving. It was the lesser of two evils. I tried to sleep, but P9 said that about every 5 minutes, I would ask if he was awake. I did drift off for awhile, but I awoke just in time to be greeted by Pedro’s big hat. That place is just as “happening” at 5:00 AM. Just as the sun was rising, we finally pull in our driveway, and the Loud kids were starting to perk up. A dull chatter was starting about them sleeping in the van all through the dark, and how exciting it was, and blah blah blah. I’m pretty sure there was an “if you value your life speech,” once we got in the house and the kidlets were sent to sleep for a few more hours.

Well, that’s it, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Ok, there’s no more….you can stop reading now….go ahead, it’s ok…you can get back to your neglected family…really, that’s all I have.

All right, release the hijacking chatty patty’s!

Huh, you want more? You want a pre-trip report for my next trip?
