I got a phone message at 10--we were at church. My sister, BIL and their two girls (14 and 9) drove down to Florida, leaving Friday night. They have a timeshare down there, non-Disney, but I helped her a lot with plans for the Disney parks.
Her message said "you need to get on the internet and find out which parks open early which days, because I have to do some re-planning. I'll call you back after 12".
?????????
I don't know if they got there late, or maybe someone is ill, or what--but I left a phone message that says "Hello, if this is Lisa don't hang up, Animal Kingdom is Monday....." etc. Then after the schedule I say "anyone else, leave your name and number and we'll get back to you!" We have to run some errands and I don't know if she'll call AT 12, or later.
I hope nothing is serious!

I hope everything is alright. She's lucky to have a Disney pro available to tell her this stuff.

Don't panic, I bet it's one of a few things:

Either they forgot and don't have/can't find their itinerary.

OR

Disney switched which parks open early and they are trying to figure it out but don't know how, so they can go to the parks, or they are trying to avoid those parks.

:)

It's probably that they just spent more time doing something in a park than originally planned. (Easy to do. ;) )
Don't worry. :) If it was serious, she probably would have said more.

If they're offsite, they can't go to EE. Last time we were there, they checked resort ID's at the gate. :)

You are right, she had planned to avoid doing the EE parks (she got that strategy from the unofficial guide).
The problem? RAIN! She just called back. She said it is pouring and the weather channel is expecting 1 1/2 inches of rain today. She loves her resort (can't remember the name). She wanted to do AK on Thurs. but it's supposed to rain, although I told her that might not mean much, and we've done AK in the pouring rain--twice!
And now I've changed my message back so anyone that calls doesn't think I'm crazy!;)

Glad it was really nothing, Robin. Heck, rain makes it sort of fun at times, plus fewer crowds. I like MGM on rain days.

Oh Doh! You're right Gepetto! I kind of forgot that point. :o

I'm glad she was able to get in touch with you and ease your mind. :)

Tell your sister that AK in the rain is great. All my best safaris have been when it was raining, the animals are much more active.

Course, I live in WA state and we get excited when it rains in Florida because it means everyone else goes back to their hotels and the lines drop to nothing.

We had a day at AK in the rain and it was great. Didn't mind it at all. :teeth:

I absolutely agree- Animal Kingdom is great in the rain!

Probably our most memorable ride on the Kilimanjaro Safaris was on a rainy morning. The lions were especially active that day, lots of walking around and roaring.

Magic Kingdom was the BEST in a Tropical Storm! :teeth: Weird, I know.......but we walked onto EVERY ride....and stayed on for a second time around.
