Thanks to ThBa and DLP having a 50% off flash sale for my dates, I'm off to the HNY for 3 nights/4 days in December. Totally bargainlicious price, first time at the HNY, and Christmas season !

Can you tell I'm just a little bit excited????

I have been crunching the numbers for days, hoping for a 50% sale, thinking what my budget could stretch to and what would be best for us all. My girls are going to love the HNY theme and hot breakfast. Its about half the price of the DLH, and much as I'd love to eventually get to stay in the DLH, that £300 or so covers all our food and souvenirs for our trip, so HNY here we come. My email booking confirmation came through almost immediately.

I've paid less for HNY for 3 nights in December, than I did for 3 nights at the Santa Fe in April this year, and that was with a 35% off deal - crazy!

I'm not going to tell the girls we're staying there, I'm telling them we're going back to the Santa Fe (which my DD loves too) but I'm not sure I'll be able to keep it a secret for long .

Depends what you're after. If you want to be near the swimming pool, go for Gramercy Park. My fav location is Midtown - 7201 - which gave us a view of the car park, but if you look left there is a clear view of the Castle - we were able to see some of Dreams from it I'll be emailing the hotel next week to try and get Midtown again - a high floor, 6 or 7

duly noted - we've had dinner there and a mooch in the gift shop, but thats as far as we've got in the HNY before now .

I agree, just walk straight past the Parkside - so much nicer in the Manhattan. And don't worry about breakfast time slots either - no-one even looks at them

We came back last week from HNY and stopped in 7228 Midtown. View of the lake and the balloon. Really quiet room. Great view of Newport Bay and the ice rink can be seen as well. Was handy for seeing when the gokarts came out haha
