OMGosh! I got an e-mail code!

I got an email code last winter that we used for mid-December. My problem is that we love the dining plan and the code was for room-only rates so we couldn't package it and add the dining plan. We did get ASMusic for $69/night.

I've signed up for everything Disney: Visa, shopping, vacation planning. I've never seen an e-mail code. Is there someplace to register that I'm not?

No one knows how they pick people for discount pins, you can be signed up for everything and never get one and a lot of people get one that have never expressed an interest in going to WDW. What I do know is that the more you go the less likely you are to get one. They want to lure people in that weren't really planning to go not the ones that they have already gotten addicted. The code attached to your name means that if they send you an e-mail or postcard with a discount it will also show up in the computer system with your name so you can call to make a reservation and ask if you have any discount codes. I have gotten two but they are always for times I wasn't going.

I got the email code as well, haven't received a code via email in 2 years so maybe things are changing seeing that a handful of posters received the 59.00 value rate...I'm going to give them a call to see if it can be used for a deluxe..you never know.

Okay, so here's the scoop. I got the email and called. Per night plus tax: $59 /values; $94 select moderates (POR/POFQ were all I checked on); Poly $240; Cont. (garden view) $215; BW and YC $230; AKL (Pool) $155....So what to do....we already have dolphin ressies for $184/night with resort (Epcot) view with balcony!?!? Do I keep the dolphin or cut & run to AKL or elsewhere

If it were me, I would go with the AKL, who knows when a code like that will come again!

I say go with AKL, when else can you go deluxe for such a low price!

I got pinned last week too! I got the email on 7/13 - it was from Disney Destinations. I am in no position to go anywhere in the near future, but it was exciting to FINALLY receive one of these emails. I was beginning to think I'd never get an email with a pin code.

Mine says "Stay at select Disney Value Resorts for just $59 per night. Standard room, most nights 8/25/06 - 9/30/06 except 9/1/06 - 9/2/06.

And it says "PIN required when you call" and the PIN is a 15 digit number.

Even though I'm not going to be able to use it, I think I'll call and find out if I could use it on a Deluxe and what that price would be, just out of curiosity.

I have only one time gotten an AP-related e-mail from WDW despite being an AP holder for some time. Please tell about this deal. I just tried to log-onto the site and wasn't able to do so (happens about every third time for me -- I must have some kind of bad luck when it comes to AP info.)

Don't feel bad I don't think we've ever gotten an e-mail. Most of the time we can't get on the site either. We have to erase cookies and all kinds of crazy stuff to get on there, and it still doesn't normally work.

They said they sent them out randomly. I asked them to random my regular email. How they got my junk box I don't know.

The email codes cannot be forwarded to someone else Wish they were but they dont allow it.

I'm impressed you read your junk mail. I get about 300 junk mail a day and just empty it without reading any of them! I could have a code for $3/night at GF Concierge and never know or take advantage.

yea well my code said to the Bass family so, I assumed it was for me. well a year ago my mother in law was going to join us on our Disney cruise so, I had Disney send her some info but i put in my email address. Well in the past year she has gotten 2 pin codes ( she has not been to Disney in 9 years) and I dont get a code at all. and we go about once a year.

Hi,

How one gets an email code is a bit of a mystery. I suggest registering at the wdw site, request the planner DVD and/or having been a previous customer through CRO with your email in their system. Cross your fingers and hope for some pixie dust

These discounts seem to be close if not the same with what is being offered to the general public on the disneyworld site. Click on "Great Room Rates" and for travel 8/27/06-8/31/06 and 9/3/06-9/30/06, rates like AKL $155.00 per night includes tax, POFQ $110.00 per night includes tax, WL $155.00 per night includes tax. (all standard view)

So if you don't have a PIN code, this seems like a great deal!
