OMGosh!!! All Marathon weekend races SOLD OUT!!!!!

My DH is going to kill me!! I hesitated registering for the marathon relay with him until I got my last long run in his weekend because my knee hasn't been feeling the best, but I finally decide to go and enter and they are ALL SOLD OUT!!!

Even the half marathon, which he told me he would run if my knee wasn't good, now he doesn't even have that option.

He is going to be so upset!! Is there anyone we could call to try and get us in the relay??

Yes I would contact rundisny directly. It seems a little odd to sell out so close to the race IMO almost like they plan it. I mean they could easily just say ok dec 20 we'll sell out either way and just release %ages to justify it. So maybe they're just trying to avoid late registrations. They might be able to help

You could look into charity spots or groups. Some travel groups have a block of spaces which might still be available. It might cost a little more but an option.

I was actually surprised it took so long for them to sell out. They've closed well in advance of this in years past; the races have been advertised to be at 98% or higher capacity for the last few weeks.

I agree with the phone then ASAP. I think they just decided to close the entries today so they could move on with finalizing race plans. If you plan on this you really need to do it first thing tomorrow.

Other than that there are the charity, travel group and ebay options. The latter option for the record is expressly prohibited and can land you in bad terms with the mouse.

I think its just that. Now they can focus on all the 100's of other last minute things

It looks like www.gettravel.com may still has entries for marathon weekend. The price is $160 for the half or the full. They may also want a hotel booking as well. This is the company that Handled discount tickets for the Disneyland half marathon.

They are sold out as well. Last day to book was from them was 12/12/11.

I know a few relayers who will be without a running partner. You could contact them and see if each of you can take the missing partner's place. (This is legit, since Disney is allowing transfers for the relay if you go to Runner Relations at the expo and pay a processing fee.). PM me your email address and I'll see what I can do!
