Day one. I just found out my contract for 120 points SSR went to DVM for ROFR. I NEVER knew what nervousness was about until now. $59 for 120 points, 35 for 2010, all of 2011 coming in OCT. This is my newbie chance before 3/20/11. Will I make it ??? I'm praying for me and my 9 yr ole Darla. We'll see. Keep ya all posted. Has anyone got a sense of how Disnyfied Darla and I , are????
GrumpVee n his lil one. :scared1:

I know exactly how you feel! I have not wanted anything so bad in such a long time! We just passed ROFR yesterday and now the closing documents can't come any faster!!! I can wait until this whe process is done and over with! I kept checking my email every 15 minutes this past week waiting for the email to come saying that Disney waived.

Every morning when I wake up I check my email and after that I check these message boards.I check the boards at least once an hour to see if there is anything new for any tips or news.

I'm obsessed!!! It's crazy. I'm crazy for Disney! Lol..

Good luck! It doesn't look like they have RofR'd SSR in a while.

I'm in the same boat. My SSR contract is at ROFR now too! It's making me crazy. I don't know how I'll make it through the next month. Good luck!

NICE PRICE and YOU will pass. They have not ROFRed SSR in like 6 months.

:wizard: CONGRATS! And yup that wait is tough.

Don't worry...... I'll wait with you ! ;)

We are waiting for news on our SSR contract too ! :rolleyes1

Relax...... take a deep breath..... and enjoy the ROFR process ! popcorn::

Enjoy the ROFR process:rotfl2:,,,, I think i enjoy going my brother-in law the dentist more,,, We too are waiting on a small SSR add-on contract. So let's all enjoy this together:yay:

Hang in there. You should be fine. We just passed last week with SSR points at $59 :goodvibes

As long as the contract is submittted before March 20, you will not be subject to the new resale terms. This is my understanding.

What is ROFR? Also, what is the regular price for SSR? I am just starting the learning process about DVC and keep seeing these letters! Is there anywhere for me to go and see what the retail prices(what others are paying) for the resorts at this time, so I can compare?
TIA

ROFR is the right of first refusal. When you sell a DVC contract, Disney has the right to step in and buy the contract under the same terms as the buyer. So, if you make a deal to buy a contract but the price is too low, Disney can decide to buy it which would put you, the buyer, back to square one. The good news is that for about the last year, Disney has done very little in terms of excercising ROFR, except for BCV contracts. This has allowed buyers to get some really low prices.

There is a thread that shows what people are buying contracts for on the resale market. Most SSR contracts seem to be anywhere from high 50's to mid 60's.

Now we have to wait for the sellers to sign and return everything!!! We already signed and sent the balance in full...then after they return that then we have to wait again to have the points deposited!! I hope this goes smoothly!!!:scared1::rolleyes1

Best of luck, I do believe you should be fine. We just passed ROFR at SSR ,120 pts, all 2010, 2011, 2012 pts available. We passed at 54 so you should be just fine :)
