OMG - Waitlist for BCV

I hope I did the right thing! I decided to change my BLT 10/15-10/20 1BR MK view reservation to just be 10/15-10/18 (I dropped 2 nights so I hope someone's waitlist will come through for this). Then I waitlisted for BCV 1BR for 10/18-10/22 stay.

Since I know how difficult this is based on hundreds of post I read - I am now scared

I really want SAB and BCV experience for this trip. Somebody shower me with lots of pixie dust. Tink where are you?

you should of just waitlisted without cancelling your last nts. Ms could have made the switch from BLT to BCV if it came through. that's the f&wf and BCV are hard to get.

I would go and book a 1 bedroom as a backup. So you are saying right now, you have no place to stay on 10/18-20? You are only holding a waitlist? You need to make sure you have a plan B. It doesn't hurt to book a 1 bedroom somewhere and stay on your waitlist for BCV. Heck you could/should waitlist for BWV while you're at it. Trying to get BCV during F&W is hard to do. Please make sure you have a room to fall back on for those nights!

I would call now and see what you can book for those last nights so that you have something. The CM should have told you that you did not need to cancel nights in order to be on the waitlist. Good luck, hope you get BCV!

I will check my options then and worst case is that I will cancel our trip if I can not get a 1BR anywhere else.

Having a room has nothing to do with a waitlist being filled. I've been a lucky one who has gotten many waitlists filled (including BCV last Oct) and have always had a room booked. Please - book a room to stay in. Keep your waitlist and at least you won't have to worry about not having any place to stay.

Having a room booked does not effect your waitlist. I'm shocked that the CM didn't tell you this. Book a room and make sure they know that you want to keep your waitlist too. You can actually have TWO waitlist at the same time. So you could have a room reserved and if one of the two comes through, they will switch it automatically and switch the points. It's pretty easy to do. Sorry you got confused.
