OMG!! trip in jepody!! Sorry-Duplicate thread-see other post

We are 36 days away from our trip to the US and DH's job has been made redundant!

He has 2 weeks to try and get a job elsewhere within the company or he will get a redundancy package.

I am in a spin and don't quite know what to do!!!

We have a mortgage, orthodontic braces booked for our 13yo DD in December and our 21 day trip booked in November!

I work 2 days a week, but that is chicken feed and would bearly cover groceries.

DH said not to worry too much ...yet.
He feels we can still do the trip, but how can we spend knowing there is no job to come back to?

We have spent so much time reserching this trip and saved so hard!!!

I will keep everyone posted on any developments.

That is terrible news, I really feel for you. My dh is self employed and every time we take a holiday we worry that we should not be taking the time off. Could you scale it back to less days or are your plane tickets already booked?

Plane tickets are already booked. They can be postponed, but not indefinatley.

I guess if not job is available, it will all depend on what sort of pay out they offer.

I think we are in for a few sleeples nights!

Last night I dreamt that we were on a plane and we got hijacked! It was awful.
