I cannot believe my luck. Friday afternoon I got the idea that it was time to go back to Florida. Afterall, it is my favorite vacation destination. But, I am a full time student and truthfully cannot really afford it. But, on Saturday, my parents got an email from their timeshare company advertising getaway deals. I looked and low and behold, orlando is on there for the week that I am off of school in April before I start a new semester. The deal? One bedroom villa with full kitchen for $200. Well, you can't say no to that.
then I thougt, yeah, well the airfare will probably kill me from Western Canada. Nope, I got full return for $550 (this is a good deal). Then I thought, well rental car - got one for the week for $100 (plus taxes, of course).
Plus, I already have my tickets for both universal and disney bought and paid for (have had them for two years ready to use), so really, what is stopping me?
Well, then I started thinking - I really can't afford this. It is far beyond the budget of a student. I couldn't find anybody to travel with me anyways, but I don't mind travelling solo - have done it many times. This morning, I got a call for a part time student nursing position for the summer, making very good money. I would still work my part time job where I am currently employed and I could potentially afford to go - actually, I would make the money back in two weeks of working. I just can't say no. Plus, I got a scholarship for September to help pay for school. It has been a good day.
This trip is a sanity break for me. I am going hard to finish school earlier than anticipated. I am so excited - I cannot wait to see Spiderman again, ride the Mummy again, see Wolverine. The list is endless. I am super excited and I find that I am hardly able to contain it.
Anyways, just thought I would share the great news with everyone.....
