Disney Dad Says..................................I've heard of many stupid ideas but this one takes the cake.

Orlando Centinal

"Marketing Genius or desparate act"

Walt Disney World is the king of Central Florida travel destination empire. But this latest move has many experts shakeing thier heads.

Disney has been loseing market share in recent years. In 1998 they held 75% of the theme park attendance. That number slipped to 68% in 2002.

In an attempt to grab a piece of the ever growing expansion of championship quality golf courses in Central Florida, today Disney made a historic announcement. It is selling the attraction at EPCOT called "Spaceship Earth" to Top Flite, a golf ball and equiptment manufacturer for $25 million dollars. The ride will be retooled to become " Golf through out the ages".

The ride will show how golf has evolved since it's start at St. Andrews, Scotland over 500 years ago. Every rider will be able to get a discount coupon to the course of his/her choice. Disney will receive $3.00 for every coupn used.

Bill Buffett, a Disney spokesman said, "THis is a win,win situation, the golfers get a great ride and a discount and we get another form of revenue.

Jim Anderson, VP for marketing at SeaWorld isn't so sure "come on, golf and disney makes as much sense as gatorland and golf. I like our new waterfront shopping and dining complex much better. I think Disney is desperate"

They are gonna replace the EPCOT sign on the top with a SIMBA sign and picture.

putt2

Do the words "Sloof Lirpa" have anything to do with this post. It seems like a backwords idea to me.....

Considering the many spelling and grammatical errors on the "article" I knew something was up.

Centinel, not Sentinel

SeaWorld instead of Sea World
loseing instead of losing

coupn instead of coupon
