Congrats and god bless your auntie! My mother always said that found money should be split 2 ways - towards an immediate need and towards something fun. You could even consider that your 2 checks are the split - the bigger check towards the roof and the smaller check towards your something fun. (Make your "something fun" into a way to remember your auntie - if it's a Disney trip, toast her at a meal or 2!)

Thank you for sharing! This has been a wonderful story! I have been following the posts, and just think, your aunt brought this many people together to follow along with you! And althought it wasnt part of her plan, she did make us all take a moment (I am sure) to check who our beneficiaries are and make sure we have our policies in order, so I thank her for that!

I think you should use the money as if she were watching......do something fun with your family with some of it! That is what she would want!


Maybe send some special flowers to her gravesite as well!
