I just pre-orered two from Amazon - one for me and one for my college age daughter. We are always losing/leaving power cords, so if it works it will be fantastic!!

Just thought I'd update that I finally got around to unpackaging this and using it this morning - and it works like a dream!!

I bought a Powermat and the Iphone 3G receiver and I just charged my Iphone from a dead battery to a full charge in less than an hour. It also comes with a set of adapters and a USB cord as well - the USB cord fits my LG phone! There are adapters for many other kinds of products as well.

I'm delighted with this because it will NEVER get unplugged so I won't have to shuffle around trying to find where I stashed the phone charger anymore!!
