I need help!

This is my very first year going "home"


I currently have 336 points to play with.

Our trip that is booked for VWL for 10/7-10/21 must be rescheduled to the summer as the school my brother goes to will not allow vacations!!!!!

We are looking to go 8/20-9/4 now.

My question...

As we are AP holders, we are going to attempt to book a trip for an april 2007 vacation as well . Being an April use year...will I even be able to? as I am using 2005 use year points for this 2006 trip ( i think ) .... what points would i use for April?

If April is out...we can do August next year but my mother does not want to give up her precious summer at the Cape!!!

No real way to answer your question without knowing the use year here, because that determins when and if certain points can be banked.

We are an April use year.

I have not banked my 2006 points that I got this april yet.

My vaca this August will be w/ 2005's use year points ( as my oct trip is already booked )

With an April UY you August trip would utilize your 05 banked points.....any 05 points left over could not be used for the possible April vacation. Now April you could use 06 banked, you would have to bank these, points since you will be entering your 07 UY. Does this make sense to you??

Your 2007 points will be available to you as of April 1, 2007 and your 2006 points will expire on March 31, 2007 unless they are banked. If you are using your 2005 points for your summer trip, I would bank all of your 2006 points into 2007 and use them for your April trip. Member Services will help you use the oldest points first. If it turns out that you have a surprise trip between August and April you can always borrow point from the 2007 Use Year to cover that trip.

Since you are planning an April, 2007 trip, you will be in your 2007 UY. The 2005 points(even if banked) cannot be used since you will be in 2007. You can bank your 2006 points now into 2007 and they will be available. If you still need more points you can borrow from your 2008 UY points.

So...in summary...you would have available to you your 2006 points(if banked), your 2007 points and 2008 points(borrowed).

You can either use your 2005 points between now and 3/31/07 or rent them out to someone else.

the only thing i have to say i think it is terrible how schools tell you when you are allowed to take a vacation.
