Let the countdown begin to
September 2009!

Any tips for travelling with parents? We will request adjoining rooms and have 2 itineraries in case others (my dad) do not want to follow ours. Do we need more than just one rental car? I think that if we do end up running separate itineraries during a day one group can take disney transport and the other can take the rental car. My dad may need a motorized cart due to his knee - these are rentable for around $40/day or so right?

Doing the happy dance!!!

Where are you staying? Do you plan on leaving WDW for day trips? How many ADR's will you have?

We have been 2 times previous to this time with my parents. Both times we rented a home offsite. This year they are not joining us but we've been given the OK to book 3 rooms for next September at the Poly and they'll be going! We'll hit the parks almost everyday but my mom and dad will go to MK once and Epcot once and then lounge around the resort. My dad is obsessed with Ohanas so he's really looking forward to next year already!

We will be staying at one of the values - hoping for connecting rooms. ADRs I haven't thought about yet - we are going to see what we get done this trip and then I will make a list of places I think my parents will like and have my mom look over the menus to decide. We will probably not leave WDW - except dd said recently she would like to see Kennedy Space Center which we would probably do on our way from airport to hotel the first day. Oh, my parents are pretty young (late-40s) if you want to take that into account.

I think parents will like Epcot best (hoping we will be there during F&W festival) but my dad is kind of grumpy so I think he will be spending a lot of time hanging out at the hotel by himself :) Dh would probably join him some days. My mom is a trooper so will be up for whatever we decide to do.

What do you guys think about MNSSHP with my parents? We went in '06 and the kids liked it but didn't LOVE it. I really enjoyed it. Not sure if the 'rents will or not. Also, if they still have the pirate cruise for the kids I think I'll sign them up for that.

OH, and my dad smokes so I will have to check out the smoking @ WDW thread and make sure I know every single place he can light up at lol! He is very worried about this - almost as worried as missing the first day of deer hunting season. :)
