"What do you mean, I can't get an Ultimate Park Hopper ticket?
I spoke to 2 clerks at the Grand Floridian that told me I could
buy the ticket AND gave me the price, $187 for 3 days."

Explanation: My friend is booked in the hotel for 7 days,
I am only staying for 3. If they put 3 days on my key/ticket,
it will change my DGF's ticket to 3 days-the keys are coded
together-so I would have to pay for 7 days or buy a $300
PH ticket, oh by the way, a PH doesn't work for the water
park! I would have to buy the water park ticket as well....
anyone else doing the math here? I brought $187 for the
3 day UPH and they want me to pay $335 for a five day PH
AND the water park ticket!

I don't think so!

When explaining to the clerk obviously was getting me nowhere,
I insisted on seeing a manager...the manager-after some
convincing-offered me a 4 day PH, (***NOTE***they never do
this!), with a refund on the days not used, AND, she
gave me a complementary ticket to either water park.
Finally! Just a little pixie dust! They really were trying to tell me
I couldn't have what their clerks already told me I could have!

We walked up to the room, Sago Cay room 5203...close to
the main building, next to Gasparilla's Grill, 2nd floor.
Very nice room, beautifully carved wood furniture, with a
balcony. And collapsed around 1am-we were going to go to
the jacuzzi but the lightning storms I flew over earlier
had closed the pool and jacuzzi for the night.
So we jabbered together til about 3am and finally fell asleep.

I promised we would do the family breakfast thing every morning
and we had a priority seating at 1900 Park Fare.
This is the character breakfast at the GF with Pooh, Tigger,
Mary Poppins and Alice in Wonderland.

Our reservations were for 10:30 and I promised DGF
I would let her sleep til at least 9am. Of course, I was wide
awake at 6! So I took a quiet shower, was going to start my
day at MK, but decided to check out the hotel & pool instead.
The GF puts complimentary coffee in the foyer of the building
for the early risers. If you're up after 7:30 you'll never see it.

I grabbed my towel, book, camera and complimentary coffee
and headed out...I saw the sun rise! Got some beautiful shots
of the sun coming up over Bay Lake. I went swimming,
the pool which must be heated because the temperature was great,
even at 7am. I read for awhile too...I think that was the longest
2 hours I've ever spent waiting in my life!!!

9am! I was allowed to call up to the room. DGF was up and
getting ready, yay! We got to the restaurant about 10:15
and everyone was already waiting for us inside.

I was introduced to my friend's family, for easy reference;
My DGF=HG, her sister=BB, sister's hubby=WB,
their daughter=PB, DGF's Dad=Dad, DGF's Mom=Mom
And then in comes Tigger!!!
My first character of this trip! Tigger is our favorite,
after a few photos and a marriage proposal we got to eat.
1900 PF has a nice buffet, hot and cold foods, Mickey waffles,
and omlettes cooked to order...we get back to the table and
BB has an odd look on her face-ok-what's wrong?
"This tastes funny!"
"What is it?"
"Grits with butter."
"That's not butter, it's cream cheese! ewwwwww!"

To be continued: Part 5 - To the Magic Kingdom!

Boy, you really were excited!
You went to sleep at 3:00 am and you were up at 6:am??
OK, I guess I could relate.....
