Looks like there are non-stops only on certain days of the week. There is one on August 25 and there is a return on September 1. But I doubt they are going to sell many at those prices, something doesn't look right.

AirTran is completely pulling out of ABE, my local airport come Summer. They were the only provider of non stops to MCO at the airport. Now I'll have to drive an hour or more to PHL or Newark and pay for parking. Grr!!

I noticed my dates for airtran were now available out of flint for September 6th-11th but they have discontinued the non stop out of Flint also. I was very upset. Not a fan of flying out of Detroit if I can help it. Showing over 400.00 each way on airtran out of flint while Delta from Detroit is about 278.00 rt. So if I want a non stop flight I will have to fly Delta out of Detroit. I will not fly southwest because I like to pick my seat ahead of time and they don't offer non stop out of Detroit either. I am sure AirTran out of flint will come down significantly before my trip and would more than likly still fly with them if I can get a good layover time. Susan

Not to speculate or incite a riot here, but that is exactly what happened recently for AT flights from ABE. They used to offer 2 non-stop flights per day to MCO, then suddenly they started disappearing, then they pulled the 2nd flight completely....then came the announcement that AT was pulling out of ABE effective August 12th. Let's cross our fingers that won't happen to DTW!

At this point I wouldn't care if they pulled out of DTW....I will only fly nonstop to MCO so Airtran is now not an option. :( now I'm forced to pay Deltas high prices or risk trying Spirit:confused3

Ugh, it stinks, I know. AT was the only non-stop to MCO, so after August we'll have to deal with layovers. Thankfully my kids are getting older so a layover isn't as bad as it was when they were little, but we've become so used to getting on the plane in PA, 2.5 hours later getting off the plane in FL! It's nuts but we can fly United from PA - TO CHICAGO - then south to FL. Takes 6-7 hours to get there with the westward layover. My days of 3 trips a year to WDW may be coming to an end - I'll have to go for longer stays since the whole 1st & last days will be spent in the air & in airports now, so I might only be able to swing 2 trips instead of 3.

When Airtran is just starting to load a schedule, it ALWAYS looks whacky. Give it a few days to get the bugs out and the prices will drop to something reasonable. Not sure about the addition or deletion of non-stop flights though. Those are usually there right away in the schedule even if the prices are way to high when they are newly released.

We are flying Sun Country out of Lansing. I was able to find a non stop both ways and it was cheeper than Flint and Detroit. I have heard that the parking is easier and cheeper than DTW too. Hope all goes well.
