OMG! John and Kevin joined facebook!!!

I do like being "mysterious".
:rotfl:You are so far from being mysterious!!! I am so very jealous of your 80 minute vacation :cloud9: Ya know, you can facebook from your iPhone :rolleyes1 (if I could get this darn flux capacitor to work, of course!)

I asked John if he thought I was "mysterious".

He said there were lots of things about me that are a mystery...but no I'm not mysterious.

He might not be in the right mood.

He's busy doing something inside and out and sweating like Michael Flately doing Lord of the Dance.

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I can perfectly understand. I don't post on FB as often as most of my friends, but I do like to keep up with what 's going on. I sometimes go a day or two without even checking in.

I am also one of the last ones left in the world without a Myspace or Facebook. Not that I don't love talking to Disers, but there are a million people from highschool on there that I didn't like in the first place that I don't want to be pretend friends with, because I was never friends with them in the first place! People probably think I fell off the face of the earth, but that is fine by me :).:cake:

I am totally with you guys, I refuse to get a Facebook account. Ben and Chris are bugging me constantly, I too believe I am one of the only people in the world without facebook or twitter!!

You had me all excited Melissa!!! That was not very nice.. LOL I would love love love them to join but I am not holding my breath!!

LOL I am Lisa, just miss missy here :rotfl2:

Sorry to get you excited, but thought if we all push hard enough... ya right! :rotfl:

Katie gave the right answer.

The show was originally scheduled to be recorded on Tuesday, but got pushed back until Wednesday.

As we usually record on Monday or Tuesday, I made an appointment...ok, it was actually my Mom's appt....for Wednesday and couldnt change it.

Nothing wrong....just bad timing.

And whilst (thats for the UK folks) I appreciate the invitations to join Facebook.....I have more things I want to to do now, than hours in the day.

So no Facebook.....no Twitter....no MySpace.......just the Dis.

Well you can't stop us from wanting it :grouphug:

If you find that these things work.....let me know.:lmao:

I should also add that I have recently (May 29th, 2009) adopted another time vacuum.

As I've already told you....I got a Kindle.

I could entertain myself for days with just my Kindle and my iPhone.

Pricey toys....but some of the best things I have ever owned.

On Wednesday...I had to kill about 80 minutes while waiting for my Mom to get done with her appointment.

I had the iPhone plugged in playing some great music and sat in the air conditioned car reading on my Kindle.

Talk about luxury. It was an 80 minute vacation.

Loved it!!!!

But see Kevin, you can Facebook from your iPhone!!!!! You can you can!!

An old friend just found me on there, he said he was at a party and was the only one who never even heard of FB :rotfl::scared1::rotfl2: but he got on, and I walked him through how to use it :) Its nice to get in touch with old friends!!

Thats the beauty of not accepting the add and the delete button :) :)

Kim, I feel the same way. I am FB friends with 2 people that I went to high school with. We were good friend back. I decline most request from people I went to HS with. You didn't talk to back then, why now? I am very careful with who I am FB friends with from work. Honestly, most of my FB friends are DISers or people I sail with.

Send my best to your Dad.

I'm weird about FB also. I don't use my real name. My whole family is on there, but I don't want them knowing my business, so all my friends are people I have never met in person (knitting and people on the Dis.) My stepdaughter thinks I am very strange, but that's how I want it! (I'm not even friends with my own kids, I figure they don't want their mother on their FB). :lmao:

I think it is just fine that Kevin and John are not on Facebook.

I applaud them for not giving in to another timesucker! It is great that they have other things to do in their day.

Hold strong in your convictions, Kevin! :thumbsup2 Be sure to maintain balance in your life!

I'll admit, I'm one of those people that have caught the facebook bug. My twentieth high school reunion is coming up. Don't have any intention of going, but lots of people friended me. I've actually enjoyed seeing their status updates, kids' pix, and so on. One of the people periodically did political updates - I was going to unfriend him as our politics were quite different. Then I found the "hide" button in the news feed. I never see his status updates now. I like that!

Hey Kathy! Will do! ;)

I think John the Genius and Kevin are great for not doing facebook.

I don't have plans to FB either.
