Here’s a conversation I had with DD11 last night

DD: Hi Mommy. What’s that?
Me: A pill I have to take every day.
DD: What’s it for?
Me: It’s so I don’t have any more babies.
DD: Why do you need it?
Me: So I don’t have any more babies.
DD: No, I mean, WHY?
Me: Well, would you like a baby brother or sister?
DD: No, I mean, you’ve got to have s*x in order to have babies. So, why do YOU need it?
Me: Well, honey, if I’m taking it, I need it.
DD:   :scared1: :moped:

I wish DH had been there. It was funny and precious at the same time.

:rotfl: Well she is damaged for life now! ;)

Can you just hear the conversations between her friends this morning...
"Hey guys, my Mom says her and my Dad have s*x!!"
Friends "ewwwwwwww! Grosss!!!"

:lmao:

That is HYSTERICAL!!! The poor thing will need counseling for life :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

When I was that age I thought my parents didn't ever  from the time they were married until the time I was conceived.

My kids are going to understand a lot better than that.

Had a similar conversation with DD8 the other day - I guess the topic on the bus lately is you know what and DD wanted to bounce a few things she had heard off me to see how true they are. Well, we get to the "you don't do that do you?" and I replied "I have you don't I?"...the response was basically "ewwwwww"...

really would have preferred a little more time to introduce this to her myself....I know I should have, but we just covered body changes, etc...I am in denial, I know....ah well, it was a nice mother-daughter moment none the less....at least she knows she can come to me and we can discuss it.... :sunny:

:wizard:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: (Excuse me just a minute while I wipe the coffee off my monitor!)

I really think most kids would rather believe they were actually found in a cabbage patch or brought by the stork instead of what actually happens.

That is how it happened! My parents NEVER did that! :scared:

We have 4 kids (DS12, DD9, DS6 & DS5). When they are acting up, I warn them, "If you don't stop that right now, I'm going to kiss your Dad!"...works like a charm...they quiet up very quickly. (And sometimes I kiss him anyways to watch them squirm :teeth: )

Can I please have permission to use that one when mine get a little older? :lmao:

I'm 22 and I know for a fact that my parents only did it once. And they had me.

30 years of marriage...one time. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. ;)

When DS13 was in 5th grade and they got to the sex ed unit in school, he brought home the book they use and they were supposed to go through it with their parents. DS has NEVER asked any questions, he just isn't interested yet. So, I ask him if he wants me to tell him about this or he just wants to read. He oh so innocently looks at me and says "read about what?" Poor kid. I told him to just read the first chapter. He read it and says, "I'll just read it" in a very embarrassed voice.

Well, I am watching him read this and I could tell when he gets to the more mechanical parts of the chapter, his eyes were going like this  . Well, he gets to "the" part and yells, "GROSSSSSSSS, people DO THAT?" I about died trying not to laugh.

When he was all done reading I asked if he had any questions and he looks at me and said, "you and dad had to do that TWICE?????". Um, yep, I guess we did. Poor kid.

:rotfl2:

OmG that's classic!!

I remember the thought that my Mom and Dad EVER did it.... :scared1:

It just HORRIFIED me!!!!! Besides the YUCK factor.... :scared:

My mentality, and I stick with it to this day, was I'm the youngest so they STOPPED after having ME!!!

Like I said, that's my story and I'm sticking with it!!!
