So tonight I was over at DHS with a couple of friends of mine and they decided to take me to the Hollywood Hills Amphitheatre to experience “Fantasmic!” for the very first time. The show is…well, how can I say it without putting it bluntly? Oh yeah… the show is WAY AMAZING! The amphitheatre holds about 7,000 people, making it one of, if not, the biggest theaters on Disney property for a show. The CM’s getting people to do the wave in the audience were GREAT. I really enjoy seeing that great amount of guest interaction in the theme parks, no matter which one I go to.

Anyways, moving on from the specifics of the Amphitheatre, the show has an amazing amount of detail. I was blown away by all the choreography of the characters on the stage and seeing all of my favorite villains on the water screens and what not. The finale was just awesome and I can’t wait to see it again!

Yeah, it's cool. We saw it in 2001 and haven't felt the need to go back to see it again until now.

Haven't seen F! at WDW but we saw it once again this past Friday at DL. As always we're just sort of in awe. We didn't have the best viewing spot as dinner ran a bit late but it's still a wonderful show to take in!

I've seen both many times and I give the edge to DL. Love the balcony seating! My partner saw it for the first time on our WDW trip in 2000 and he was in tears after the show.

Unfortunately the balcony seating is gone....unless you've won the night in the Dream Suite!!!

Yeah, I should have said "loved". It's just another thing to add to the "Things I No Longer Like About Disney" list. Let's see, close a wonderful gallery and take away premium (elevated) seats for the park's most popular show. Then build a suite for "select guests" to enjoy for one night. Millions of people go to DL, but at most 365 could be "chosen" to spend the night in the "dream suite".

How much cash can one pony up to buy a night in this suite? I don't believe for a second that the experience is being given to park guests everyday. This is nothing more than Disney's version of the Lincoln bedroom.

I saw fantasmic from the balcony at DL. It was beautiful. In fact, it is the "slurge" (splurge) of which I speak in my tag.

As many times as I've been to WDW I haven't seen it there yet. I have made ADR's for the dinner package for this upcoming trip. Mom hasn't seen it at all.

FYI Rosie, the dinner package seats are some of the worst in the theater, way off to the side. Your best bet is to go to the second show (if there is one) to snag a seat in the center of the theater.

Be prepared to be a little disappointed......sorry.

IMO the only thing better about the Flordia version is at the very end, Mickey is actually on a mountain.

Since we're going in October I'm hoping it won't be too packed so that maybe we can grab better seats. I just hate waiting in a huge crwded line.
I don't think there is a second show but I'll double check.

It's a great show, with lots of detail, but, I never seem to really get into it.

I think that the fact that the canoe details are wrong (they're paddling on the wrong sides relative to the motion of the boat) in the midst of such detailed choreography rather needles at me.

Try to see the Disneyland show, far superior and no Pocahontas, a much better Peter Pan production instead!

(It's all over Youtube)
