I am so  I am getting :headache: thinking so hard. I don't even know what to do. i would liek to know who has had their wedding at the Swan or Dolphin that can tell me how it went is it worth it. I would love to see pictures. The thing is that I want a Disney wedding but the Escape or Intimate wedding is so Pricey for the amount of people it allows and my family is pretty big so what can I do not invite my future husbands family? That would just be wrong of me. Please Help what can I do??:faint:

Yes, I have seen the thread but no one really says much about it. I am about to give up and just get married here in my hometown this is really fustrating
:( thanks for your help anyway

You should look at this thread, if you haven't already. It has a lot of info about Swan and Dolphin Weddings and there are a few people on the thread who say they have had weddings there or through www.justmarry.com. Maybe you can try to PM them for info. Good luck!

Don't get frustrated yet! Have you called the Swan or Dolphin for more info on their weddings? I bet they can send you pics of past brides... or supply you with pricing! Good luck! :cutie:

Yes, I have all the info I need. I just want info from actual brides that can tell me how it was if it is worth it? So many question but no answers.

Thanks for taking the time to help I appreciate it:)

No prob. I'm having my reception at Shula's which is at the Dolphin. If it helps any, they are super great to work with!

I'm sorry! I hope you do find the info you need somewhere. There are other things you can do around Disney too. I know DigitalLove had a ceremony off of Disney property followed by a dinner party on Disney property and took a ton of pics on Disney property. Her wedding looked gorgeous.

There may be a few other brides who have done the same.

I wish you the best.

I'm in the process of planning my wedding at Disney's Swan and Dolphin. I'm having my ceremony at the crescent terrace in between the Swan and Dolphin, followed by dinner at Shula's at the Dolphin, and a dessert party at Disney's Hollywood Studios during the Fantasmic show. I might be able to answer some of your question.

I'm having mine at Shula's too! Have you dealt with Valerie yet there? I was dealing with kelli, but now she moved over to the Swan...

Yep, I have dealt with Valerie. So far, shes been great. She always gets back to me promptly when I have questions and was very accomodating when I asked to customize my menu.

Do you mind if I ask what menu you chose and how did you customize? I'm looking to add an appetizer and take away the desserts since we have wedding cake... any suggestions?

That was exactly what we wanted to do. We felt the desserts weren't needed and Valerie said it would be no problem to substitute and appetizer for them or just take them off completely. We opted to take them off completely because their dinner portions are huge along with cake and we are having a dessert party after so we know our guests will be plenty full. Valerie just took $5 off the price for each person.

Oh wow... thanks for the info. Are you doing any type of decoration for the tables? How many people are you having?

We haven't decided on decorations as of yet. We are having approx 40 guests..and the seating arrangement would be 2 long tables. We went and saw the private room a few weeks ago and the tables were set up nicely without anything extra. So I'm not sure if we are going to add anything extra to the tables. How about you?

I am getting married at the Swan too! I have found it to be VERY confusing as well! There are lots of links to pics on the swan dolphin faqs sticky. I have spent COUNTLESS hours google every combo of swan/dolphin wedding and they were here on disboards all the time! There is just not alot of easily found inof out there so we should all post what we know/what we do for our weddings here so we can help future brides;) Purple, how did you go about booking your fantasmic party? Is it crazy expensive? thanks girls, B.O.L!!!

Hey Disneyaddict! I contacted Disney group sales at 800-327-2989. They set me up with a manager from Disney to answer all of my questions about pricing and to draw up a contract. The location I am renting fits 40 ppl. The food and beverage minimum is $750 and there is a site rental fee of I think $250. For guests that do not have park passes they charge an additional $12.95 viewing fee. Prices are different for the different dessert packages. They begin around $20 per person. You don't have to have a dessert party if you don't want...I am thinking of just doing an open bar package..since we are having dinner and cake directly before. I don't know how much my guests will want to eat more dessert after that. The lady I am working with is very helpful and seems to be willing to work with anything I am interested in doing.

Thanks so much Purple! You managed to answer all of my questions in one post! I was on the phone with Disney Group sales for 28 minutes the other day and the csr didn't know if someone who was having a swan wedding could book a dessert party! She told me to call DFTW!! Thanks so much! :cutie: This is why I LOVE Disboards:love:

Your welcome! When you call Disney group sales back...just tell them you are interested in having a dessert party at fantasmic. You don't even have to have a wedding to book a dessert party...it can be for a birthday party, a graduation ,you name it. You can have one for Whatever reason you want. The only rule i was told is that I had to be staying on Disney property and the Swan and Dolphin do count. Also, all of your guests don't have to stay on property either to have it...just whoever is signing the contract does. Hope this helps! The one drawback is that since you aren't have your wedding through DFTWs you can't wear your dress or cut ur wedding cake at the Fantasmic party. No wedding attire or anything wedding related at all is permitted during the party.

Thanks so much purple!!!! I fianlly got through at group sales and got an idea of how to get the fantasmic package going. Waiting on my family to reply to the invitation:rolleyes1 It just sounds FABULOUS! Noticed that Fantasmic seems to be the longest of the "spectaculars" making it an even better choice. When is your wedding? God knows I will be posting pics here so future swan brides will have it alot easier! ****MYMELODY, I found a few pics online. I know you wanted to see actual weddings and my DF found a couple and showed me the pics but didn't bookmark them :( Now, I can't go back to them either!!!
 Take care girls!!!!

I got married at the Swan in January. I absolutely loved it. You can pm me any questions you might have and I will try to answer them. I was actually married on the beach at the Swan. We had a simple package like $1200, I think was the final bill. We took out a lot of the extras. I think in our package we had a 2 tier cake, beach location, dressing room for the day, officiant, cokes, and sparkling apple cider. Rev. Knox was our officiant and he was wonderful. He did exactly what we requested. I had 2 planners through Just Marry!, Amy and Caroline and they were really nice. The cake cutting ceremony was by the pool and we got some amazing pictures. We ended up moving inside since it was only 50 something degrees for the small reception. After the cake cutting reception we went to Ohana's for our actual dinner reception. That was very nice. Let me know any questions you might have and I will try to help.
