OMG! Fire At DH's Work!

I just had a message on my machine from DH's boss. He said hes standing at the back of the building where the "fire is...well, was" and hes trying to get in touch with him. Why he is calling at home I have no idea. I havent heard from DH since early this morning. Im am totally panicking!

Maybe he figured he would have called you if there was some "news" (like a fire) to tell you about. If the "fire" caused damage or smoke, the employees may have left the office and the boss may have assumed he'd go home. It's lunchtime so maybe you husband has gone out to lunch?

What kind of fire? Is it anything that has made your local news or just something real small? Don't panic. It's most likely nothing to worry about.

My thoughts & prayers are with you, CamColt, but I truly believe you have nothing to worry about. Our workplace is strict about fire drill procedures and where to meet your coworkers so that they have an accurate count of everyone, etc. and it's STILL hard to find everyone at our meeting spot. If your DH's work is less organized, then he and his boss have probably just missed each other in the confusion. Take deep breaths and try to stay calm.

Thanks for the kind thoughts. Turns out him and another guy went to Wendys for lunch because they werent being allowed back in the building. I guess it wasnt a big fire, but since they didnt know the status of going back in the building, his boss told him to take off for lunch. Thats why he was calling here, thinking he may have come home considering he may be sent home for the day anyway.
For our past 2 trips to WDW something has ruined our excitement just 2 weeks before we were to leave(FIL passed away last year, and 9/11 the year before). I was just waiting for a catastrophe to hit here any second and that call got my mind working overtime.
I guess my heart needed a little jolt for today anyway.

LOL! So glad to hear what I was "thinking" was what happened. Maybe that was the "crisis" and this trip will be worry-free. I hope so!

It happened before noon and DH said around noon time he saw channel 7 helicopter flying over. He thought to call me in case I saw it on the news(I usually watch 5 though) but he didnt even have his cell phone on him. If you hear of a fire in a new office building in Chelmsford on the news tonight, thats it.
