OMG! Early Christmas present!!

After realizing we didn't have enough DVC points for Hawaii (our 10th wedding anniversay) or a cruise, I had resorted to Disneyland. Now, that's not a bad trade off, but............

At dinner DH and I talked about what to do this summer. Couldn't get him to commit to what to do. His beloved Reds are in LA and SD at the end of July, so like a good little wife I said, let's just go to DL and we can also catch a couple of games. He was pretty quiet all evening.

Just a while ago, he called me into the family room (kids were asleep) and showed me the papers..........not only DL, & the Reds, but the Mexican cruise too on the Magic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I have to keep quiet to the kids until Christmas as it is all our present!!!!! I am thinking a box with items (clues) so they have to guess what it all means! I just wish I had one of the DCL ships to put in the box.

I just had to share this with people who can understand my excitement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need to change the ticker now!!!!

If you are thinking about the $28 models the only difference is the name of each is on the model. The Magic sells the Magic and the Wonder the Wonder. If you opt for getting one have the Captain sign it to your children.

What a great gift! I know your dh wanted it to be a surprise for you too! Sometime this summer someone had made up cute poem clues for her kids and posted them. She was going to hide them all over the house with a treasure hunt of clues. Maybe you could do a search to find them. You might also decide to just get someone to send you a postcard from the characters and put it in a box for their gift. (you know the kind..."can't wait to see you in Mexico" or somesuch with the boat on the card signed by Mickey) I know that verandahman has sent kids cards perhaps he could help out with ideas! Oh what fun planning not only the cruise but also how to tell the kids!

If someone can pick them up for you there are the cutest boxes of cookies that are shaped like the ship in the gift shop. They are not expensive at all under $5 I think. We brought several home for DD friends. Unfortunitly they are all gone or I'd send you one.
